What the hell is wrong with the majority of you?
I've been playing destiny since week 2 of it's release. I joined this forums shortly after, and during the early days, it was a fantastic community.
I've gradually seen this whole community decline and turn incredibly sour.
To sum up the forums in it's current form....
- Nerf this gun it's too OP.
- Now nerf THIS gun as it's now OP due to past weapons being nerfed.
- Bungie suck. Boycott this event.
- Boycott THIS event. It's offensive because I think Bungie aren't trying hard enough.
- Bungie haven't released an update on the hour. They don't care about us. Boycott destiny.
- Optional micro transactions are here. How dare Bungie force me to buy items that are simply for cosmetic effect and have zero effect on the game.
- SRL is lame. Get rid of it!
- SRL needs to come back because we have nothing to do.
- Iron banner is ALWAYS control. We need different game modes.
- Boycott Iron banner. Bungie have changed the game mode to 'Rift' and I'm bad at rift so it should be control!
- I'm doing VOG. I need a team of all 320's. Must have black spindle, touch of malice and the Kings fall hard raid emblem.
- Noobs. You're a noob so here's an insult.
- You have a k/d below 1.0. You also get many insults!
- Teamwork and team tactics is cheating and must be banned!
- I was beaten by a better team? You're being reported for lag and cheating!
- YOU'RE USING A PARTICULAR WEAPON THAT WAS BUILT INTO THE GAME TO USE? AND YOU'RE GOOD WITH IT AND BEAT ME?! YOU'RE SUCH A SCRUB!
Simply guys - it's becoming pathetic. It's a god damn game that you've all bought, played, and bought the expansions knowing full well what to expect.
If you have this many complaints and you're as unhappy as you all make out, put the controller down and do something else. There's a whole world out there!
I personally enjoy playing destiny for what it is. I play it when I get the time to. I have fun playing with friends and it is a genuinely fun game, even if yes - it IS a bit repetitive.
The point of this post is to highlight how bad this forum has become (even though it has been highlighted many times before).
It's a game guys... Come on.

It's been very interesting watching this game and the people that play it develop... Now I hear what a lot of the people are saying about the content/performance. What I think is interesting is that Destiny, for good and for bad, has created a community obsessed and addicted to the game that they are going to have to rethink out how they satisfy everyones appetite. Take RNG for example, thousands of people have been complaining about it since this games inception. Yet with the amount of hours these players put in, could you imagine if you could just get a majority of your gear from one raid? From a players prospective there would be no incentives tom playing any of the raids and bungie in irony would have to listen to more complaining! All I know is this game as far as mechanics and fighting is just pure fun. Bungie got that right and my hope is they don't try and fix something that isn't broken. I will be interested to see how they react and what they do satisfy this communities addiction.

Because all the decent players moved on since they kept getting hate for making realistic posts. That or they got bored and moved onto other games/forums for other games.. like the average person would do without bitching about being bored of a grinding game. It was bound to happen since forums normally bring the trash out in people, specifically the ones with social problems in real life and want to feel like they are powerful by being ass holes to others...just like what they receive for being no life scrubs.

Actually I think the forums were the best in the space between the beta and actual game release. A few weeks after release then it went to trash.

Short version: Whoever feels slighted by bungie this week is going to speak the loudest. Right now, the pve crowd is getting restless . The pvp crowd will never be happy with the balance. And there's a lot of people that just like to fan flames of whatever current game burning announcement that's been made.

This game, and everything about it, is the epitome of ignorant design. The PvE lacks emotion, ingenuity, and thought. It lacks story, and does not feel immersive enough to be worthwhile. The PvP, lacks dedication, in both server form, and in design. There should never be a "meta" for specific weapons, there should never been a weapon that literally everyone has, and uses all the time. Go into crucible, you'll see that most players run MIDA Multitool, or The Last Word, those who don't often run a Scout Rifle, or the Doctrine of Passing. Secondaries is often, the Chaperone, Invective, Conspiracy Theory-D and a variety of two entire snipers, 1000-Yard Stare and Stillpiercer. I shouldn't be able to name the guns, and literally say that is all of them.

You have a different memory of this forum than me. This place has always been a cesspit since destiny came out. I have a feeling it'll be that way for as long as destiny expansions and sequels are released no matter how good or bad they are. Then again, the same could be said for most official forums for video games.
