What the hell is wrong with the majority of you?
I've been playing destiny since week 2 of it's release. I joined this forums shortly after, and during the early days, it was a fantastic community.
I've gradually seen this whole community decline and turn incredibly sour.
To sum up the forums in it's current form....
- Nerf this gun it's too OP.
- Now nerf THIS gun as it's now OP due to past weapons being nerfed.
- Bungie suck. Boycott this event.
- Boycott THIS event. It's offensive because I think Bungie aren't trying hard enough.
- Bungie haven't released an update on the hour. They don't care about us. Boycott destiny.
- Optional micro transactions are here. How dare Bungie force me to buy items that are simply for cosmetic effect and have zero effect on the game.
- SRL is lame. Get rid of it!
- SRL needs to come back because we have nothing to do.
- Iron banner is ALWAYS control. We need different game modes.
- Boycott Iron banner. Bungie have changed the game mode to 'Rift' and I'm bad at rift so it should be control!
- I'm doing VOG. I need a team of all 320's. Must have black spindle, touch of malice and the Kings fall hard raid emblem.
- Noobs. You're a noob so here's an insult.
- You have a k/d below 1.0. You also get many insults!
- Teamwork and team tactics is cheating and must be banned!
- I was beaten by a better team? You're being reported for lag and cheating!
- YOU'RE USING A PARTICULAR WEAPON THAT WAS BUILT INTO THE GAME TO USE? AND YOU'RE GOOD WITH IT AND BEAT ME?! YOU'RE SUCH A SCRUB!
Simply guys - it's becoming pathetic. It's a god damn game that you've all bought, played, and bought the expansions knowing full well what to expect.
If you have this many complaints and you're as unhappy as you all make out, put the controller down and do something else. There's a whole world out there!
I personally enjoy playing destiny for what it is. I play it when I get the time to. I have fun playing with friends and it is a genuinely fun game, even if yes - it IS a bit repetitive.
The point of this post is to highlight how bad this forum has become (even though it has been highlighted many times before).
It's a game guys... Come on.

One partial fix would be to age restrict use of the forum to the same age as the rating of the game. That's16 in the UK.

All game forums are this way. Those of us that enjoy the game don't come here and whine constantly You're spot on about the babies crying after getting EXACTLY what they asked for. "Give us swoop racing! That'd be awesome and so easy! Give it to us or you must hate us and your own game!" Two days after getting it: "swoop racing? WTFROFLMAO!!! This is bull! No real content! We didn't ask for this garbage!"

1 ReplyI think the OP is specifically talking about the negative parts that don't really have an element of constructive criticism. There's a big difference between providing an honest critique and just whining. Also, they're pretty focused on the intentionally negative / insulting posts. They have a point. I think the only websites worse for their forum rages are the sites hosted by Better Homes and Gardens. Those chicks are -blam!-ing crazy.

yeah cause telling the game devs aspects of the game never leads to improvements - cryptach trolling players was just magically fixed - new infusion mechanic was just thrown in for the lols not cause anyone complained - all the extra stuff to do on the dreadnaught patrol was just cause bungie was bored not cause people said how boring and poinyless patrol was at its core destiny is an awesome game but they are so so many things dragging it down hence the host of issues to complain about I do agree forums are a tad toxic but thats what happens when valid critism is ignored all the polite people give up

What I remember of the first month or two of these forums was nothing but hate, hate, hate and more hate. Everyone felt betrayed, everyone felt deceived to and everyone was screaming bloody murder about broken promises and cut content. Things haven't gotten much better except for about 3 weeks when everyone loved TTK. Now we're right back to the norm.

Saying that Destiny is "a bit" repetitive is like saying that eating McDonald's for lunch everyday is "a bit" bad for you.

8 RepliesOh yay, yet another uninspired white-knight post, because Bungie can clearly do no wrong and people aren't/haven't left the game in droves already - oh wait... Not that there hasn't been a fair amount of people mindlessly QQ'ing about this or not, but it really speaks volumes when forums as a whole are really starting to agree that Bungie sucks, the game is in the worst state since launch and little or nothing appears to be happening to address our concerns.

Definitely didn't need a nerf cause surely those players were better than everyone else even if the opposition was melted before they could return fire. Suros wasn't as OP as people claimed just had to git gud to counter. Thorn wasn't really a big deal either and getting sniped by TLW while using a scout was your own fault. Surely the masses calling for balance in weapons just aren't as good as the people using them. /end sarcasm The worst part of this community are the blind fanboys who think everything is fine as is.
