The Gjallarhorn rumor
I have a close relationship with a user on Reddit (disclosed name) that has a reliable connection through someone who works/worked for Bungie or an affiliate. This person in many ways (other than directly saying) stated the mighty G-Horn will make its triumphant return around Independence Day in America. There's apparently a huge update around that time that will include a massive quest line to obtain it.
I personally don't believe it (although it would be fûcking badass), but everything my buddy has said about this game weeks/months ahead of time has been accurate.
What do you guys feel about it?

I already obtained the original, and I did it by completing almost 200 raids. Why should I have to go through a lengthy quest for the post-nerf year two edition?

Honestly what would it matter? It's special perk was nerfed and rocket launchers aren't what they used to be. I would prefer they just leave it buried so I can keep my good memories.

21 RepliesLets just think for a second shall we. -that weapon cant hit crit damage(I believe, havent used it in ages) so it wont freaking matter on golgoroth. -if you think it'll help with oryx im kicking you from the raid. -it will help with strikes and war priest. Who cares if that weapon comes back?

Haha, that would mean bungie would have to actually, you know, put some work in. A quest line? Nah man, quest lines are done. They continue sprucing up already made pvp events and quest available till Destiny 2.

Only clicked yes because i have the year one. Got it a month or so before xur sold it the second time.... however, i think the dead orbit rocket launcher is similar, and i am happy with it.

I have been leveling up my titan lately... been using year 1 gear (oversoul, ghorn). And the thing still gets sh!t done. My titan was a level 32 and I was on Mars and the taken zealot didn't like it much. Still a good gun.
