I don't get why so many kids want to talk to strange adults on video games.It's not okay for kids to talk to adult strangers on Facebook or whatever so why is it seemingly acceptable on a game console?

Kids can be annoying, no not all of them but many have ruined that experience others. There are no issues with adults wanting to play with other adults. You should create your own kid friendly groups.
