K/D does mean allot
I think people with a kd above 1.5 have more rights than people who don't. The pve players are noobies compared to us pvp players. What do you guys think?

K/d is a good indication of skill for sure. I don't really play for k/d because I'm always using different weapons, completing bounties or quests but usually can stay around a 1.5. If I took my k/d seriously and always used my try hard set I could maintain a 2.0 no problem

Yeah....no, I play sweats and do pubstomps. Average 2.0KD a game and I'll say that it really doesn't mean shit, I've been rolled by .8 players simply because they out maneuvered us or we made mistakes. Just because you have a high KD doesn't make you some unstoppable god.

1 ReplyFurther down I saw you reply about how you were very good at Trials, and how you get 2 or 3 kills per round every game. I am here to tell you that you are full of shit. Your k/d is BELOW 1.5, which is your benchmark, and also your win percentage is a not good 70%. Not to mention your kills per game is 6.55, which is really only 1 kill per round, about 2 every fifth round.

I'm a noob in pve and my friends know that lmfao I suck at pve they gotta carry the shit outta me in the raid. But they know I'll carry the shit outta them in trials haha

Over 1.8. That's definitely something to admire. However, you capture 1 zone per match. (Over 1200 matches) Your warlock has an ever better kd. Well over 2.0! Again, impressive but you actually capture 1 objective every 2 matches. Never trust a high kd in control. These are the types of people you don't wanna play trials with. Not a team player.

So what I get from this is due to the fact that I don't play pvp often I have no rights in the game. You do realize that the pvp aspect of this game is not the intended purpose of the game. While I do enjoy playing pvp from time to time I have an issue with the balance of pvp in this game. This is coming from well over 12 years of fps multiplayer experience. In my opinion pvp in this game is a novelty that caters to folks, myself included, that enjoy pvp in fps. I do not dislike pvp by any means but again this is my opinion and not that of everyone's. If I'm going to sit down just to do pvp I will play other games that have a focus on weapon, class, and experience based mechanics. Ie. halo, battlefield, cod, titanfall, battlfront just to name a few. Again no hate on destiny pvp as I know bungi works hard on trying to balance it as much as possible but due to the pve nature of this game it isn't easy to do. My point being is just look at the forums. It's always nerf this, buff that, this needs to go, this needs to come. You don't have that issue with other titles. Pve players never complain about weapon balancing because it isn't needed. The guns do as they were designed until the pvp player base complains enough for them to make a change. Then pve and pvp are affected even though I and many others as pve players had no part, want, or need in changes. But I digress. I do believe pvp is unbalanced but improving I just don't feel as if it should affect the pve aspect of this game simply due to the fact that this game is mainly a pve game regardless of the ratio of pvp / pve player base.

How do you even determine the fairness of k/d not knowing who or what kind of players people have on a team? I usually.play trials as of late and majority of time I have about 1.5 kd. And I even play with people sometimes who has 1.5 kd all time. My all time is like .8 I think But I was consistently having better k/d than them every match. So how does it mean much? Truthfully man you can only go by playing with a person or against.to know a person's worth And honestly. I.most of.the time have had to lead pvpers through the raid . because they can't understand basic ai.

I feel like I am judged unfairly because the first 8 months of the game I died about 46900 times with maybe 6 kills in between I CAN'T SAVE MY KD ANYMORE THE PAST HAUNTS ME FOREVER!!! Oh, and trials ruins my KD. I can usually do extremely well in clash and control, sometimes even getting KD as high as 14.0 yet in trials I'm lucky to kill 5 people in 5 rounds. People's sniper game is too strong

Kd should be reset each couple months and ranks should be implemented on our emblems so every couple months players can compete for that top rank identifier. If you take a month off to try to get acclimated to a new weapon, you shouldn't have it reflect on your kd forever.

Not to mention the messing around with so many weapons and armor sets. I promise I'm way better than my k.d. shows in pvp. I have screwed around a lot but when I go all out I'm usually top 2 in every match
