D=(X.Y) or Total Damage.
As you can X is directly proportional to D.
So let's limit X to the maximum number of shots possible over a course of a minute.
Example:
Over a course of a minute the Black spindle can fire 23 shots.
Over the course of a minute the 1000 Yard stare can fire only 15 shots because of its need to reload.
Given that X is directly proportional to D, the Black Spindle will always do more damage given that spindles Y value is greater than or equal to 1K stares Y value... Which it is....
