Stay the -blam!- out of the crucible. You make the game unenjoyable for everyone.
Edit: So I see I seem to have rub some people the wrong way. I admit I made this post while a little salty and maybe should have made the title a little more clear. So here you go: If you knowingly have a poor connection stay out of the crucible.
To the ones saying I don't know what P2P is I do. The reason I say stay out of the crucible is that if you are the host you will cause your team to lag due to your bad connection. Therefore making the experience for EVERYONE unenjoyable.
Edit 2: For those who are criticizing my stats. No I do not play everyday nor have I put 1000s of hours into this game. I have a life. I have 2 jobs, a wife, and a son who I put before video games. But when i do play I would like be able to enjoy it.

I use WiFi. On every device in my home usually. Great ping and great download and upload. I am not sure what you mean.
-
Not true I'm on wifi and my connections are usually fine
-
It's a per game assessment. I run wifi and run green bar. If I ever see Red I leave straightaway. It's not wifi users qho should be criticised, but rather those who care not for what colour the bar is.

1 ReplyWhy bother playing this broken PvP? If you want to play a PvP, go somewhere else. If you want to play Destiny, play the ACTUAL game, not the side notes.
I'm not joking Destiny does not have a real PvP
-
Now that people are using netdumas and can accurately measure ping some of the numbers are ridiculous. Some games nearing one full second of lag. The other thing worth mentioning is destiny does not show you lag on screen like Call of Duty does. With destiny you can literally unplug your ethernet cord and play for a few seconds before you disconnect. The game is designed to smooth frame rates. Let's not even talk about people who reduce their MTU settings to try to gain an advantage.

OP has a life guys...we can all go home now BTW i'm on WIFI and always green bar

Dude you realize that half of all red and yellow bars in PvP here are green in every other game. Blame it on bungies p2p servers not on any single player
-
3 RepliesYou are just salty because you can't kill people and you blame it on the "lag". Come out with better excuses next time. .77k/d kid. I don't have the highest k/d but I don't come to the forums to cry.
-
7 RepliesSo basically, unless you use ethernet you can't play multiplayer? I use wifi and i probably have a better connection than you.
-
I have awesome Internet and will continue to stay out of Crucible.
-
Why not aim this post at bungie instead since they are the ones that scrapped matchmaking based on connection, it sucks but bitching about other players just makes you look like a petty little person who's butthurt over someone stealing the jam from their doughnut

Edited by Eddmario: 1/19/2016 10:48:16 PMI use wifi because my tv is in a different room than the internet modem, and the layout of the house nakes it impossible to connect an ethernet cable to it without it being stepped on or accidentally unplugged. Plus I almost only have problems when my brother is using the Chromecast in our bedroom. Also, look up port forwarding. I did that and my connection on Xbox Live got better.

I have a potato for a router and always redbar causing lag for both teams but I still play crucible a lot. What you gonna do? Report me? LOL!! See ya in crucible noob.
-
Agreed
-
Thank you.
-
I have wifi and I rarely ever red bar
-
-
This isn't the players' fault, but rather Bungie for designing it. I believe your frustration is misplaced. Please address this to the help forum. Ask them how to improve the game - THEY have the power to do so, individual players (and a smaller segment that read these forums) do not.

1 ReplyOp has a life

Check your own router.
-
Break it til they fix it.
-
1 ReplyI red bar all day in Destiny. 4 bar all day in BO3. I think some of the issues would have to do with Bungies coding.
-
Someone's connection isn't always the issue. I have a 50mb connection and I was red-barring like crazy during trials this week.
-
6v6 is almost unplayable because bungie allow players with 500ping to match up with players with 5 ping.
-
They can do what the hell they want
