Hooray Daily Heroic is Oryx
Another 15 marks I cant solo.
Wouldnt be so bad if I could damage him through the shade realm wall (like in the raid)
Wouldnt be half as hard if shield phalanxes didnt spawn in formation around blind orb captains (in three waves before oryx is even damageable for 3 seconds)
To add insult to injury, adds keep spawning regardless of how many you kill or if you try to ignore them to kill Oryx.
I'm a light 315 nightstalker, and I hate having to chalk up a mission to being designed so unfairly I have to bring friends with to kill (not always a bad thing, but as you can see, my play times are in the morning hours where friends are sorta not awake).
Guess I'll wait a few more days to have marks to infuse my weapons from this week...
Edit: Gotta love the two people out of eight making suggestions instead of hate. Got it eventually.

If you have a warlock or Titan, just jump over Oryx as he comes out of the shadow realm. He slams underneath you every time, leaving you with full health.

Soloed it earlier in nightstalker. Just put courage of pack on. Take ads out quick with mg and snipe shade when he comes in.

Just use an exotic sword, whenever the adds start spawning in the shade bubble and use a sniper for oryx.

If you have it try the Sleeper. It does massive damage per shot.

If you have friends go try it me and my buddy do this one together usually. It's not so much he's not soloable, just why make it so hard on yourself lol. To be honest tho, depending in your class, try using night stalker shade step at the last minute, or if your a titan use bubble with blessing or armor of light, or warlocks blink last minute. Seems to work good for me and my friend.

Keep moving, staying mobile and striking in short bursts is the key in the final room. Use your tether to keep enemies occupied while you deal damage to Oryx. Use your envenom smoke grenades to slow/poison adds. Use shadestep to avoid Oryx's sword swings. All it takes is patience. Keep trying, you can do it.

Stop being a panzie and get tactical bruh. The only way I survived his sword slam today was because I used fight of havoc the same time he slammed his sword, so I had damage resistance.

It's a pain in the ass, but I always solo it. Telesto is good- rockets and exotic swords are not that great when Oryx is charging you. Unless you just use your heavy on the adds.

Its not that hard to solo. There legit has been no daily mission that i didnt solo. Just take your time and take it slow. If you die, learn what went wrong and try again. Not only will you improve as a player, it will also be a challenge.

Sleeper helps. I use sleeper to solo things now simply because of the reserve increase. Shoutout to prison 34 for that etheric light though.
