Like everything a bit except country and classical.

Alt-J, The Black Keys, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, Sublime, Pink Floyd, Cake, Eyedea and Abilities, Blackalicious, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Xavier Rudd, Jon and Roy, Umphrey's McGee... Some of those are similar to others but I tried to hit the spectrum. There's a lot more where they came from too.

3 RepliesI like all kinds of music. Though, country is considered the music I listen least to, since I hate the vocal twang and the nasally sounds of country.

All the way from rap to classic country to death metal. I'm probably the only person that listens to Immortal Technique, Garth Brooks, and The Black Dahlia Murder in the same day.

3 RepliesAnything can sound good in my opinion. Sometimes I throw on some Clapton and B.B. King, sometimes I throw on Future and Chief Keef, sometimes I throw on Slipknot and Megadeath. Limiting yourself to a select few genres of any type of art is effectively limiting your perspective. Enjoying music is all about understanding the environment with which it is intended to be enjoyed. I'm not going to go to a party a listen to Sinatra or MF DOOM, I'm going to listen to Future and Tiesto. I'm not going to sit down and think introspectively to Chief Keef and ACDC, I am going to sit down and think introspectively to Pink Floyd and Aesop Rock. This is one of the reasons I think artists like Kanye West and The Beatles are so great, because they are dynamic enough to produce art that can be enjoyed in a multitude of environments.

1 ReplyI enjoy most (if not all) genres, although I can't stand songs like Cheerleader or Watch Me. They're just so poorly written, and it shows. My favourite genres have to be hard rock and alternative rock. My favourite band, Kasabian, are very hard to label since each of their albums has a completely different sound. For example, their album 'Empire' has a very acoustic quality to it, whereas their latest album '48:13' has a more electronic sound.
