I'm a kid but I've just got one thing to ask.
Take in mind I still respect anyone older than I am. But for some kids on games we get insulted,called fag,dumbasses,etc. And why should any kid respect an elder who constantly insults. Like earlier I was playing with another kid who was 11 and has a VERY squeaky voice. And as soon as he spoke he was insulted called a "DUMB MOTHERFUKING QUEER" and I just sat there and let them insult him. I kind of wish I would have kicked those guys and comforted the kid. But I didn't and the reason of the post is right back in here. Why should any kid respect an elder who constantly insults them? Post over.

You shouldn't give respect to anyone who doesn't give it back. That doesn't mean that you should be disrespectful either but if you allow people to disrespect you, you are disrespecting yourself. It is my personal belief that elders get respect from the start because they have more trips around the sun than we do and there might be the possibility of learning from their experience buuuut elders must also be respectful, otherwise it is perfectly acceptable and I would add, the gentleman thing to do, to walk away from such a situation.[spoiler]being a man is a matter of age. Being a gentleman is a matter of choice.[/spoiler]

I didn't start playing M games until this year (I'm 15) the problem is that most people don't want to play with younger people because many are immature and the prepubescent voices sound pretty terrible.

I'm 20 years old, why tf would I want to play and talk to a child? We have two different mindsets due to our age length. They get insulted because there's assholes online, deal with it.

22 RepliesThe TRUTH: I'm 26 yrs old and I'd rather not play with children in a raid BECAUSE of maturity level. It's nothing personal but I like playing with adults mostly because that's just me....most kids are just too immature for me to sit there and listen to for an hour or two. Now if I get into a group from LFG and we get a "squeaker" I'll deal with it and see how he acts. I have run into several kids that are very mature and I've grown to liking and would call a friend but most of the time it's just too much immaturity to deal with. Now....for anybody out there who immediately boots kids and cusses at them....GROW THE -blam!- UP. These are kids man! And you're going to call him a dick sucker while his father is the next room....and you think you're a man? You are not a man and you are a little disrespectful prick to call another man's child a -blam!-.

In fact some of these kids parents probably don't spend any real time teaching their kids how to be respectable adults which irononically enough is why they play this game so much and feel like they are pro. I am respectful to everyone. The only players I ever kick are The disrespectful and excessively cocky ones. I don't care how good they are or what their light levels are. I agree, those are toxic.

My friend and I [14] carried a 30 year old guy to the light house. I believe that everyone deserves a shot I've played with 20+ people who were very immature and are just plain idiots and I've played with 10+ year olds who were very genourous [i know I spelled it wrong but ehh]

Be the kind of person your parents raised you to be....-and understand that some people reached adulthood but never really learned how to speak to, and treat others. Which means that---sometimes---it's the kid who has to be the grown up in the room.

It's not u. It's the the destiny community. It's toxic and full of salt and hate. Everyone thinks their MLG and that no one can be better then them. But honestly most people that play this game do so to relax and chill after a long day of work. They don't want a child's voice screaming in their ear. But no one cares to post an age limit on their raid requirements so it their own -blam!-ing falt lol

It's as simple as this, if it's an unwarranted attack, speak up kindly and say it's uncalled for. If it continues then kick. If it stops don't make a mountain out of a mole hill. Being called names from random people is not the worst thing you or anyone will encounter in life. It's good for kids to learn they need to have some thick skin. You can't control what others do or say but you can control yourself.

When starting a fireteam, it is your privilige to include anyone you want and to exclude anyone. That being said - that does not give to the right to treat people like crap. If you want someone to leave, tell them. If they don't leave, kick them. But namecalling and abuse is rude and unnecessary.

I hate it when people say someone can't play with them because they are a kid. The kid is being more mature than the adult in that situation. The reason why people don't like to play with kids is because that don't shut up. They always talk and it is very rare that you find a mature kid( me). I play with adults and kids and I see the differences.
