So if titans can use twilight garrison on any subclass why cant hunters use gravitron forfeit on every subclass???!!!
does anyone have a valid answer? it doesn't make sense!!
bungie is clearly biased towards titans

It's because the aerial dodge was never on a Titan until that chest piece. Nightstalkers had shadestep BEFORE Graviton Forfeit, thus it being an exotic to just give a perk that class has. To sum it up, Titans get it because it's the chest piece's specialty. Hunter's only have SS on NS because it's a NS specialty.

Well coming from a person who only has a hunter I say read the perk. It says it unlocks shade step in the skill tree so you can have keen scout on as well or whatever. Stop crying about this please I'm so tired of seeing posts about this cause illiterate ignorant people. Just play the game. Who cares TG lets all subclasses use it just learn how to counter it.

It's a class specific exotic. A lot of the exotic armors are class specific. TG is giving titans something that they don't have in any class so it is one of few exotics that are not meant to be used by one subclass like GF is.

I think it would be fair however it wouldn't make send with blade dancer being u already have blink.

Because shadestep is a perk on a particular subclass. It's like saying "Why don't Impossible Machines grant landfall when I throw a Nova Bomb".

1 ReplyOn the hunter, one subclass has the ability naturally in the skill tree. The helmet allows for you to run a different perk on that class and the helmet will give you the perk. Titans do not naturally have an evade perk in their skill trees.

Although it is fairly obvious that bungie's fetish has shifted from Warlocks in Y1 to Titans in Y2, I think having Graviton + Blink would be OP. If it took the place of Blink, or could only be equipped with Nightstalker and Gunslinger, I would be ok with that.

3 RepliesReally? Blink, a move where you teleport away from any danger, instantly closing a gap= not OP. Shadestep, a ground evade that makes you partially transparent while using it, and can not only be a perk node,but on an exotic too so a nightstalker can run shadestep and keen scout= not OP Twilight garrison evade, an air evade where you are visible the whole time, that can only be used with an exotic= OP. These forums have nice logic

Graviton: grants shadestep Garrison: press circle circle to evade airborne It's all in the wording. None of the other hunter subclasses have shadestep so if you wear it the helmet does nothing. But the garrison gives you an ability

Just because a piece of GEAR ON A TITAN works differently and has different perks and mechanics on it doesn't mean it'll be the same for the other classes. They are two different pieces of gear and made for 2 different classes in destiny. Get over it

I mean with bones of eao, mask of the third man, young ahmkara spine, and the achlyophage symbiote as alternatives I don't really think a universal shadestep exotic would be game breaking. But it would lend a greater amount of variety. I sincerely doubt that will be happening howeever.

We have to waste an exotic slot for it and you guys get it just for being hunters. Clear difference. That's why your armor only works for 1 class. We give an exotic slot for a maneuver you guys pick the class for the maneuver. Give and take pretty balanced if you ask me. Well aware hunters can use an exotic for the perk AND spec in another. So to say "hunters can wear a...". I get it but for one you don't need the exotic for the ability. If you do want the exotic it can give you additional ability on top of the one already speced in. Therefore if we even keel it. A titan wearing an exotic he gets evade. Hunters wearing an exotic, you get evade and another ability. Therefore, hunters have the advantage there. That's why titans can dodge mid air and have a slightly smaller cool down. Hunters then on top of the other stuff get a slight invis when they dodge. So all in all its even. I also love that little statement "bungie" favors titans. DeeJ is a warlock, cozmo is a hunter. Y1 titans were easily the most underwhelming pvp class. Denying this, I know you didn't play titans in pvp y1. The class was still good, I went flawless countless times y1 and y2. Skate, lightening grenades were about the only good abilities titans had y1. Love hearing people tell me how "OP FoH" is when per game you likely have 1 good chance if your lucky to smash more than 1 person. While you had warlocks that could throw our super and hunters that shot it in bullets that aimed for you. I think every statement you have made here is wrong. - 3 titans y1, 2 titans 1 hunter y2

The TG is a diffrent perk not something from a skill tree like shadestep. What would like to is that the shieldrun(whatever its called) perk changed to the mid air dash like shadestep on striker.

22 RepliesOkay, let me get this straight. Bladedancers and voidwalkers can blink, where you can't shoot them when they are in blink. Not an advantage at all Night stalkers can shadestep where they can't be hit mid shadestep. Not an advantage all Titans move laterally in the air only if they wear an exotic armor, and they can still be hit while they move laterally. It's too op though. I love the logic on this forum. I bet you were a final rounder / thorn user and a LinTC user as well, weren't you?

Thats like saying helm of inmost light should grant headstrong and death from above to all 3 classes. Doesn't make alot of sense now does it

Technically, shade step is only on void subclass, no titan subclass has this ability to dodge in the air. It sort of like the Impossible machines for warlocks. But it would still be nice to have shade step on all sub classes.
