I recently made a post "can you shotgun" and the comments regarding skill made me start to wonder.
Now I'm not talking about some suicide shotgun. I mean how many people go like 15-0 ,or flawless trials , 1.5 or better K/D that kind of thing .
I would love to hear what the community really thinks
Edit 1: a lot of votes for sniper rifles but no intelligent comments as to why . Just a lot of "because I said so that's why "

In my opinion neither take skill it's just how you set up ur engagements. It takes little skill to snipe well just brains same thing goes for shot guns

True, both snipers and shotguns have the potential to be one-hit-kill weapons, but with shotguns being repeatedly nerfed, positioning is everything, especially if you're trying to engage multiple enemies in PvP. I'm not saying it doesn't take skill to snipe, because it does, but being inaccurate with a sniper is a lot more forgiving than being inaccurate with a shotgun. You miss your shot with a sniper rifle from a mile away, you get behind cover and live to fight another day. You miss your shot with a shotgun at point blank range because someone jumps or blinks out of the way before you pull the trigger, you're more than likely dead.

4 RepliesHonestly idk if shotgun takes any. Skill I kno I pretty bad with them. I can never do that 1 hit bullshit ppl do, but I'm a great sniper, quick scope or hard scope as ppl say.
-
At our current state with shotguns being nerfed, a good shotgunner is rare compared to finding people who can easily snipe. Yes there is blink Shotgunning but both got nerfed. When it comes to a Shotgunner vs a Sniper the shotgunner most likely will out play the sniper.
-
Neither.
-
In this current game a really good shotgunner takes more skill than a really good sniper, this is the first time this has happened
-
A primary takes more skill nowadays
-
I feel that snipers require a bit more skill. I'm not knocking shotguns, I'm more of a shotgunner myself. It's just that with shotguns you know where the enemy is. Your radar's up, you see the red little blip, you go, you run, you (hopefully) win. With snipers there isn't an aproximation of your target. If someone is waiting around the corner with a shotgun, you know that they're going to have to close the gap, and from that you can tell that they're gonna lay off or retreat. Snipers are a little more tricky, if you don't nail the shot you're either dead or you have to get into cover, and there's no guarantee that they did the same, or advanced or even left altogether.

2 RepliesSniping. Not every sniper has high aim assist.

Dank memes.

After shotguns got nerfed they take way more skill.
-
3 RepliesSnipers because it takes time to hit them with that perfect head shot, there is more aiming going on. Shot guns sure you have to be stealthy, but a lot of people end up running into you and don't have to aim at all , there is just a big body in front of them that they can shoot.
-
I don't care how much or how little skill it takes, there's few things that compare to the thrill of creeping up on a bunch of unsuspecting players with a shotgun and giving them the shock of a lifetime.
-
4 RepliesI have the highest kd on this post, the most shotguns kills, and the most sniper head shots. Aiming a sniper isn't hard, after two hours you're a master with short gaze. In two hours can you learn how to Titan skip, shotgun at 10 sensitivity, melee on time, Titan skip to the next spawn, rinse and repeat.
-
Lol shotgun obviously. Snipers headshot people for you
-
Where does the chaperone sit amongst these weapons?. you don't get the time and space that a sniper affords and you don't get a quick body shot at close range. Plus you have to close the gap and out maneuver your opponents like with all shotguns. You can pump two body shots but a sniper can do that too from a safe distance.
-
I feel the sniper takes way more skill over a shotgun cause with the shotgun you really don't even need to aim. It's all spray and pray. Iv killed people that were half way in my sights on a shot gun. But the sniper is a different story. You can not miss, you have to hit the target in the head for a one shot kill. You can't move really either when your aiming cause most likely your target is moving and jumping around too. Sniper hands down takes way more skill.
-
4 RepliesIdk sit at the back of the map with a high aim assist sniper or sitting behind a wall/corner and waiting....
-
Smiling because you have to aim for the head, also I'm not talking hard scope a hallway for the entire round in taking push up and drag scope when you have to nothin wrong with a body shot then whiping out a primary to finish them off.
-
4 RepliesRushing with a shotgun takes more skill than hardscoping your spawn with a sniper.
fact
.if i close the gap without you killing me , you deserve to die. .
-
32 Replies15-0 is easier when you're sitting back 200m. 15-0 when you have to get in within Warlock melee range is a task. Shotgun perfection is much harder.

2 RepliesEdited by EasyPzLemnSqzy: 12/18/2015 2:42:58 AMIt's a risk vs reward thing, I can suck at sniping and just waste a bunch of ammo, but if I suck at shotguns, I'm probably in some one else's shot gun range.

2 RepliesIMO snipers take more skill
