Regarding the SRL Record Book

With the experimental launch of Sparrow Racing League, we provided a Record Book via the Eververse Trading Company. It’s a fun way to enable you to track your stats and earn some commemorative loot. It’s also an important way to make sure we can continue to support our operations in providing content, like Sparrow Racing League, that everyone can enjoy.
Unfortunately, that Record Book debuted with a nasty bug that let some players acquire the rewards without purchasing the item.
Fortunately, to preserve the new system and to defend the value that some of you have earned by spending your Silver, we’ve fixed that bug.
If you acquired the exclusive SRL-branded items without acquiring the Record Book, you’ll still find them in your inventory. You just won’t be able to equip them until you buy the book. Don’t dismantle them if you want to keep them.
The Record Book is a compendium of the accomplishments you’ve racked up in the race. If you help yourself to one, the rewards are retroactive. You may have sweet Armor, an Emblem, a Shader, and a new Sparrow waiting for you.
If you picked one up, we appreciate your patience while we sorted this out. The rewards contained within its pages are once again unique to those of you who purchased the new item.

2 RepliesEdited by GANTZ: 12/10/2015 4:47:33 AMshows that their priority is milking the fanbase to the maximum , once the players get some unintended bonus rewards (virtual items that cost no money and have no physical stock or value) they quickly take it away , they should come up with new better rewards as a compensation for those players who spent money and leave the people the rewards they obtained due to their own fault , would be only fair

7 RepliesAs someone that loves playing this game and has been supporting Destiny up to this point. I find that this may be the straw that has finally broken the camels back. It is ridiculous that the support can get money related issues fixed within two days, however, it takes weeks or sometimes months to patch other things. I guess we know how you prioritize things at Bungie. Making money is more important than the consumer and more important than advancing the gaming industry with entertaining and creative media. What's worse is that the community will still support this ludicrous business model. Please stop paying for micro transactions on content that should be in the game anyways. The $100 or more you have invested in The game and DLC should more than "support" the people working to make the game better. If that's not the case then maybe Bungie/Activision needs to revisit their own in house spending policies and stop being greedy.

We've figured out how to take one $60 game, cut enough content to make 3 additional dlc's, selling them at $20, $20, $40 each, AND added microtransactions! You see Activi$ion is cashing in on Bungie's reputation for Halo, knowing most customers don't realize the A team that made Halo and Bungie great, left long ago. Now bungle is run by the C- students, who take 8 months to balance pvp (thorn, TLW op). Bungie has turned a $60 product into a $140 product, and has legions of fan boys rabidly defending this scam! -blam!- this, I'm out.

Okay so as people guessed Bungie was testing us with micro transactions and now they are adding more. The more people continue to support these transactions then the more likely they will continue and get even worse! We need to stop this! I'll post pics soon! 3 RepliesThe SRL record book is not working and non returnable. If you are doing silver related items you really need to make sure they work. Can't return it and won't get any rewards. Looks like you are the only ones winning here.
