Regarding the SRL Record Book

With the experimental launch of Sparrow Racing League, we provided a Record Book via the Eververse Trading Company. It’s a fun way to enable you to track your stats and earn some commemorative loot. It’s also an important way to make sure we can continue to support our operations in providing content, like Sparrow Racing League, that everyone can enjoy.
Unfortunately, that Record Book debuted with a nasty bug that let some players acquire the rewards without purchasing the item.
Fortunately, to preserve the new system and to defend the value that some of you have earned by spending your Silver, we’ve fixed that bug.
If you acquired the exclusive SRL-branded items without acquiring the Record Book, you’ll still find them in your inventory. You just won’t be able to equip them until you buy the book. Don’t dismantle them if you want to keep them.
The Record Book is a compendium of the accomplishments you’ve racked up in the race. If you help yourself to one, the rewards are retroactive. You may have sweet Armor, an Emblem, a Shader, and a new Sparrow waiting for you.
If you picked one up, we appreciate your patience while we sorted this out. The rewards contained within its pages are once again unique to those of you who purchased the new item.

Bungie's a Hive and Activision is their worm. Instead of battle tactics, it demands money. Increased profits. I'm sure whenever they broke off from Micro$oft they were warned to turn around, but proceeded anyway. Hopefully their worm doesn't consume them.

Deej as community manager I know it is baseless for you to take our collective blame (not that it leaves you guys collectively off the hook). That being said, may I suggest you sit out tomorrow's update, let Cozmo bring it out instead. No matter what you'll say, I have the feeling the pitchforks are already out and being sharpened :(

2 RepliesI LOVE sparrow racing but could you possibly give each player like 100 silver a month(if they are on more than 7/8 of the month.) I think it would bring back the community and give people an incentive to play more

The $10 book is stupid. Did anyone else catch its called "Volume 1" and the description says "this years races"? That means they'll want you to buy another book each time SRL comes around. This whole thing is stupid as all be. IF they do not release REAL DLC content before Destiny 2 I predict this game will be dead by February 2016. I probably won't be around that long of nothing is announced. Sparrow racing and stupid paper masks don't do it for anyone accept truly the lowest common denominator.

I see posts about a record book for $10 and I'm confused as to what exactly that does. Do you not get reward drops for racing if you don't have one?

What gives you the right to take out these events if their meant for the game leave them to stay some here love iron banner,racing going to the light house. You may own the game rights but it's our game without us your nothing but a bankrupt company.

I'd rather buy an actual book, which I can, for that price. This shouldn't have a price tag at all, and to think a $10 one is absurd. The glitch shouldn't've been patched because the book shouldn't've been purchasable anyway
