well, with shotguns getting yet another nerf and fizzies getting tweaked again, everybody is wondering why sniper rifles haven't been hit.
well, they have been, actually, twice now.
LitC and Final Round.
both of these perks have been changed so that they cannot grant a 1-shot body shot kill, but maybe the base sniper-rifle should get tweaked instead?
currently now, no sniper rifle can single-bullet kill any guardian with a body shot, but they can still 2-shot body shot guardians.
am i the only one that thinks THAT should get tweaked, and not the perks themeselves?
my proposal is thusly: lower base sniper damage down considerably, to the point where they match hand-cannons in damage, but in turn greatly amplify their head-shot damage multiplier so that they match their current head-shot damage, which is one-shot-kill. also up their PVE damage so the change is less-so in there.
this way, snipers still reward a true-precision shot, while being almost punishing for spammers, allowing people to confront less-skilled snipers. the LitC and final round perks can be restored to their original glory.
the only problem is sniper body shots will be weaker in PVE, but in turn the increased head-shot multiplier, in conjunction with the increased PVE damage, can make head-shots more rewarding, balancing the damage difference with a higher risk/reward ratio.
or at the very least, increase the precision damage bonuses to LitC/Final Round so that they are more rewarding in PVE (because they got ruined due to PVP).
[b]TL:DR;[/b] make snipers do much less body damage in PVP so they are more rewarding for skilled shots, and less spamm-y with 2 body shot kills. (but in turn head-shots are still 1 shot kills and LutC/FR are back to flat-out bonus damage.)
