Are play station exclusives going too far?
Ok I may be completely wrong in what I'm about to say but I'm just very curious. Throughout destiny's life PlayStation has been given many exclusives due to Sony's investment you could say to bungie(I'm aware it was allot though not sure how much, maybe it really is worth it). As an Xbox player I've been getting fairly jealous of PlayStation's constant 1year in advance quests, weapons and soon to be sparrows and sparrow armor or whatever they are going to call it along with iron banner armor. I was wondering what my fellow community members thought about this, both those of Xbox and PlayStation. Are they giving them too much, too little, is it too long of a wait for Xbox players etc. Please let me know because as I said I'm very curious of other people's perspective. (Thanks, and good luck)

1 ReplyI hate people saying Microsoft should have put money. The important thing is we all put our money in the game. We all paid the same price but xbox players got less. It makes no sense. I can understand like a week or 2 early access but a year is too much. It makes the content irrelevant.

I don't like exclusives at all. I find the whole console war thing silly as we are all just enjoying games no matter what system but this questions get old. It's just a couple of things. Nothing major , I don't get why that is such a big deal.

Why do you care? It's not as if you come across players in the tower with gear you can't get. It doesn't exist in your world, so why stress it?

1 ReplyThe armor is legendary, and isn't very special, I've never had it drop above 275ish so it gets dismantled all the time. We've had 4 exotics that were exclusive. 3 of the 27 yr 1 weapons. sooo... 1/9th. The weapons weren't exactly game changing. In year 2 we have 1 exotic weapon. Honestly I probably won't see a jade rabbit until Xur sells it in year 3. So I'm in the same boat as you there. Honestly. None of these weapons drastically change the game. The exclusive armor is useless. Sparrow? who cares honestly. Look at it this way. Your exotic weapon grind is 1 weapon shorter than mine. This may sound rude, but if it really bothers you that much, buy a PS3/PS4. There is no end in sight for this kind of activity, it will continue despite the community complaining. The cheaper option is to just wait it out. It's still better than never getting them.

Year to long , couple of months should be the max. If it's got to be a year then Xbox game should be cheaper to offset the missing content PS4 owner.

I play destiny on my ps4 and personally I don't really think its gone that far when you consider how much exclusive stuff there is and knowing it will eventually be released on Xbox anyway. Mean year one had basically a few exotic weapons and two strikes which are now available. Year two so far has just been one weapon and one strike.

It would be a safe bet to assume that every major release in Destiny will come with some form of PS exclusive.
