Snipers, stop pretending like you're skilled.
Bungie holds snipers hands.....
1: Snipers have ridiculous aim assist.
2: Hitscan: Snipers get instantaneous kills. When a sniper takes a shot in Destiny it doesn't take into account the movement of the enemy and the time it takes for the sniper bullet to hit an enemy. With Destiny you just line up the head shot or body shot and you get a instant hit. But in many games, snipers have to predict where their target will be, not where they are at. If someone is moving to the left of your view and you line up a head shot on the target you will miss. Snipers will have to actually predict where the enemy will be in a few split seconds to get a kill. Now that takes skill.
3: Generous hitboxes. Yup. You can actually kill an enemy without actually hitting him.
4: Perks and more perks.
5: Unlimited special ammo throughout the match. Snipers and shotgunners can use their specials as primaries.
We all know what needs to be done.

My biggest gripe about snipers is that you shouldn't be able to strafe with a sniper rifle and still have perfect aim. It's a precision weapon of what you are looking at is magnified the scope should bounce all over the place if you take even a single step.

1 ReplyI feel ya. I snipe and can say damn well that snipers require 0 skill. Along with almost every gun in this game. Everything has ridiculous damage and ridiculous aim assist. It's like a pretty CoD, but with homing bullets. Still love Crucible though.

But I am a skilled sniper. Most of my snipes were with Patience and Time, which has literally no aim assist. It's one of the lowest, next to Effrideet's Spear and Black Spindle

A reasonable response would be, You'll be fine. It's a video game, with high mobility. Perks that grant god like status for weapons. We all use snipers. We all have that BS shot that shouldn't have landed but we got the kill. And to go to the forums to vent? Have you seen or read any other post? You will not get a legit response. (Meh, 2 out 10 time, yeah) you'll get over it

Nah. Snipers still take skill to use. Anything can be beat so they have to have good awareness of the map, sight lines map. Not get snuck up on. Be quick with aim because the getting shot can stagger you making it harder to get the shot off. There is a lot that they do well. Stop complaining because they are beating you. Adapt and find a way to beat them so they will complain about you.
