If you enter my raid group and ask how many ToMs we have...
You're getting the boot.
Every time I do the raid there's some turd who drops in via lfg who immediately asks how many people have Touch of Malice, as though the raid is impossible without it.
First of all, I do believe the raid was completed many a time before anyone even had that gun.
Secondly, the person who asks this question is always the one who ends up dying on their platform while the runner is torn and trying to grab the relic.
If you have decent light level I really don't give a shit what weapons you have, as long as you can hit the broad side of a barn that is Oryxs gaping chest hole, and detonate the ogre orb that you're supposed to.

Edit: Why is this trending this is something I posted before I went to sleep last night. I'm just glad everyone focused on my raid completions and not how many times I haven't completed. Way to stay positive guys! :D
Edit 2: Shoutout to all the nerds who have nothing better to do but look me up on destiny tracker to dig up all this info on how often I play this game. You're the real heroes today.

2 RepliesIts mostly just inconsiderate and impolite. This is your group the you're putting together and you can assemble it whichever way you want. If they have thoughts on how a group should be formed they should be making their own. I could tolerate the question but I can see why you wouldn't.

6 RepliesAt the Daughters it's an important question because after you slam if you're to close the snipers will miss there shots due to being flinched by adds, the daughters head moving around & flailing their arms. It has more to do with the zoom of the sniper scope than anything else. If my team is running mostly snipers we choose a location further away from the platforms & closer if we mostly have Malice.

A full auto scout rifle that doubles it's damage on the last round makes that DPS a lot easier. Also, what about daughters? Having multiple ToM can help decide if you're doing 2 round or 3+ round. Heck, you might be even neglecting this person's plee for help because "he has ToM, he doesn't need help."

My buddy and I managed to duo normal oryx without ToM, we both used Eirene with Lita and it worked wonders.

While it's your call since it's your group I still think that's rather rude. Sure you don't NEED ToM. just like you never NEEDED Ghorn. but it makes things easier. Easier is comfort. Humans like comfort.

Everyone I raid with is usually above 312 so I just assume they have it

It's a simple question that is used to gauge what person would be most efficient at what roll in the strat your using. It makes things go quicker and smoother if every person plays to their strengths depending on class and weapon load out.

And would only join to help out, if I ask how many we have that's because if we only have 1 or 2 we'd do the 3 cycle strat on daughters. If we have 3+ we'd do the 2 cycle strat.
