You're getting the boot.
Every time I do the raid there's some turd who drops in via lfg who immediately asks how many people have Touch of Malice, as though the raid is impossible without it.
First of all, I do believe the raid was completed many a time before anyone even had that gun.
Secondly, the person who asks this question is always the one who ends up dying on their platform while the runner is torn and trying to grab the relic.
If you have decent light level I really don't give a shit what weapons you have, as long as you can hit the broad side of a barn that is Oryxs gaping chest hole, and detonate the ogre orb that you're supposed to.
Rant over.
Edit: Why is this trending this is something I posted before I went to sleep last night. I'm just glad everyone focused on my raid completions and not how many times I haven't completed. Way to stay positive guys! :D
Edit 2: Shoutout to all the nerds who have nothing better to do but look me up on destiny tracker to dig up all this info on how often I play this game. You're the real heroes today.
Edit 3: btw I'm playing the hard raid rn if anyone wants to join

I only say it as a check. I dont care if you dont have ToM, but it certainly helps a -blam!- ton. So maybe before you kick someone for asking a god damn question, just think.

2 RepliesEdited by Karma Kills You: 12/3/2015 3:14:03 AMAnyone who kicks me for asking how many touch of malices we have I would thank lol for saving me the time wasted

Op is fgt

I make sure people have ToM for hard mode because to me it ensures that they're willing to prepare for hard mode. It's like someone not bringing ammo synth. ToM may not be "required" to kill Oryx or Daughters on HM, but it can sure make things go smoothly. When using LFG, things going smoothly is paramount.

2 RepliesTouch of Malice is not gjallarhorn Touch of Malice is not acquired by rng If you have completed the normal raid and dont have it, that means you're lazy, because it isn't a hard quest Why would I want to raid with someone who doesn't want to give effort?
-
Did a hard mode raid last week with a group where only me and another guy had the ToM. Eventually everyone quit on Oryx because we couldn't do enough damage in time to stagger him. I like to make sure at least 3 of us has and are using the ToM (or even a Sleeper Simulant) because I don't have time to wipe and redo Oryx for 3 hours straight.

5 RepliesEdited by ActualMagnum: 12/4/2015 4:48:35 AMIf it's hard then I wouldn't do the raid with you if you are too lazy to get the ToM. It's not random. You complete a quest with normal raid to get it then you don't have to be a scrub in hard. Oh and I'll save you the time from having to check, I have 18 HARD completions.
-
Honestly if you have the time to raid you should have the time to get ToM, I barely even PvE, only done KF one time and I have it. It doesn't require much effort at all. Hardest thing is farming those hadium flakes
-
Edited by Fightin Frog: 12/6/2015 1:08:59 PMI agree with you for normal mode, but if you're trying hard mode you should have it. If you're trying hard mode and you don't have it, it makes me wonder why you don't have it. My guess is a lack of commitment or hoping to get carried. You should have certain things for hard mode. I had a guy try doing hard with us the other day and didn't even have triple jump unlocked. Needless to say, he couldn't make the jump from the totems up to the sister platform. That being said, I'm more than willing to help bring people through normal in order to get it. I'll also point out where all the calcified fragments are! Xb1

3 RepliesThat's a basic question to gauge dps on daughters because of 3 people don't have one that's a loss of dps and of they aren't that good of a shot......that's 0 dps thy are putting out with their sniper
I do believe the raid was completed many a time before anyone even had that gun.
Sound enough logic for me, need to say no more good sir
-
I ask because I'm seriously wondering. I won't leave if I'm the only one. I'm asking to see who can't get help with their quest because I'm wondering. Also because if we are on sisters I will know that we may not be able to kill them first time so I won't get pissed and asking why we didn't kill them.

A reply to edit 3 How many toms have you got?
-
What if I enter and my name is Tom
-
I did the same thing back when Gjallarhorn was the thing. I never ask but I'll always put it on.
-
Tom helps i like it wen there r alot of touch of malices but its definetly not a requirement
-
1 ReplySame goes for anyone who "asks to run relic". Always f everything up. If you ask im going to say no
-
You must not have it...get gud
-
I don't require ToM for my hard raid groups unless I am 320% sure that we need it. As long as you're not an asshole and have a pretty decent light level (I.E. 308) then I let you in. Simple as that.
-
You don't even need one. There was a time during the hard raid where 3 of us had to stagger Oryx, and only 2 of us had ToM while the other used a Red Death. Lemme say that again: 2 ToM and a Red Death staggered Oryx. All at <316 light, hell, one of us was 312. Imagine 6 players. Or high Light level players. Or a Nighthawk. Or a Weapons Bubble Moral of the story....
LFG is full of scrubs
Boot em. Don't even waste your time carrying those people.
-
Lol with such low completions, you most likely get the boot often from raids. GIT GUD SCRUB. I barely do TTK raid and even I have 20 which is low
-
1 ReplyYou have 4 completions. I think I might have 5. Neither of us should post requirements for HM raids.
-
Yea, ToM isn't necessary but you are lazy as hell if you raid and still don't have it.
