Though this would be amazing to get, it would be super expensive because it being run on 4 platforms. If Destiny 2 is only on next gen (I doubt it though), it wouldn't be as expensive, but still pretty pricy.

Bungie had announced sometime before the taken king that the taken king is the final dlc that the older gen consoles will be included on. Everything onward is current gen only. (Which means destiny 2 as well I would assume).
-
I guarantee it will be current gen only
-
Except the thing is there is still a lot of Destiny's player base on last gen consoles (including me). Bungie and Activision will be losing out on a lot of revenue if they drop last gen. It would be best to drop it around the time Microsoft stops Xbox live support for x360 and Sony for ps3

There are already features on current gem that are not supported on last gen i.e. Certain dances, touch of malice animation, and stat comparing in the vault. This is indicative that last gen can no longer keep up. Also, cod, another activision title, is also make strides to be truly "next gen".
-
Though 2 of the things in your list about things not supported on last gen are true, I think in 2.0, stat comparing in the vault was put back in on last gen. Because I can do it in my vault on 360.
-
If uses the same engine and keeps the game locked at 30fps, then destiny 2 likely will be on last gen. However, if they decide to increase world size, upgrade to 60fps, or update the game engine, destiny 2 most certainly will not be on last gen.
-
Yes, those do come into play as well. Whatever, only time will tell.

Thank you for a rare civilized conversation lol

Lol yeah, they're hard to come by. It's really nice to have one, as some people on the internet take things harshly and in turn try to be harsh. :/
