Git gud scrubs, K/D doesnt matter so much but under/over 1 makes difference, it tells if you kill more than die, if you are under 1 K/D you need To have great team work or Luck To go flawless

Also since most people do challenges, they're most likely gonna go negative that game. So kd basically doesn't matter in any game.

K/D doesn't matter.
-
Please tell me how you found everyone who said that and absolutely know what they said.
-
Personally I think kd is just stupid joke people use to brag supposedly how they are "good" which can change in a week. I sucked but I got better people use this kd as an excuse on almost any forum.
-
5 RepliesMight I ask. What if u sucked in year 1, but are gradually getting better? Is this good?
-
2 RepliesK/D doesn't matter. There, I just invalidated this whole thread ;)
-
Not necessarily. Game mode matters. Holding 2+ control points the entire game can help a under-1 player come out more valuable in points than an opponent who kills but never holds the objective. I am not great but I did better-than-average in IB for this reason.
-
And this rationale makes any sense because..why again? The k/d is an overall score last i checked. WHICH MEANS that if someone sucked for a month straight, like REALLY sucked..and then had a week of 1.5 and 2.0 kills their overall kd would still be miserable.
-
K/D doesn't matter. But it is satisfying to have a particular good game where you wreck a team. Like earlier I was playing control on bannerfall. Well my load out is currently Grasp of Malok/invective/Barons Ambition. I pretty much cleaned up B with my Invective since you really don't need to worry about ammo consumption since every 90 seconds you have another mag. It was fun.

2 RepliesWhile the average kd is exactly one, that isn't what the average crucible player has. The average L/D would actually be the median kd
-
7 RepliesIt makes me wonder whether or not those people are actually insanely good. I don't care about K/D, yet I think myself a good player in most FPS. Yes, their KD is bad. But why is that such a factor? In games such as CoD, KD could've meant nothing, as you would often lag out of the match from time to time or, dare I say it, join a game in progress. Lastly, should Destiny really be the game that you judge a person's K/D over?

Git gud kd m8

Kd above 1.3 doesn't matter imo

K/D doesn't matter ;)

2 RepliesI think mines over 1, if it's not I definitely play above a 1 since I started really playing crucible but my old stats were terrible, and i think k/d is irrelevant, dtr i think it's called, i like that, i think mines like 15
-
Haha when trials comes around all I see is suckers post is have a k.d higher then this Or equal to mine stfu home bag u care about the game too much haha
-
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad.
-
Lets be serious who wants a 1.0kd its basically a kill for a kill witch isn't fun dying every kill .
-
6 Replies? Ask KJhovey and mtashed some of the best players they will say stats in general don't matter
-
3 RepliesHere is a senario: Team 1: ( not real stats to anyone ) K/d 1.9 .4 .89 Team 2: 1.5..2.0... .50 Who would really win? Yes communication is key, but you also have to have the skill to backup that communication, cause if you don't you'll get pwned.
-
Hi. There is more to pvp than trials. Yes, in some pvp game types k/d matters more than others. In games like control, it is more important to complete the objective to help your team. Yes, kills help a lot. But k/d is not as important. Clash is a while different story. K/d matters more here, because points are based purely off of kills.

Git gud grammar.

4 RepliesMay be true, but people like me don't play crucible to only go positive. I play when quests ask me too, I'm going for passage coins, I feel like there's nothing else to do, etc. I sometimes run just to get kills with certain weapons and my KD usually sucks, or I plain out just play casually to relax. Just because I don't die hard crucible every time I play, doesn't mean I'm awful at the game, it means I just play for fun at most times. I'm not one of those kids that suck at the game, I just choose to not try hard at normal crucible. When It comes to trials, then yes, I will be trying unless I'm just going for bounties with a group who's doing the same. K/D really doesn't matter. Your performance is truly the only thing that matters.
