Can we all Agree that there is no "best" PvP Player in Destiny?
So, can we just all Agree that there is no best PvP Player? I think you just can't say that 1 Guy is the best just because of their Stats, DTR Score, KD etc. And tell me what you choose and Why.
Edit1: Kraftyy True Vanguard and Hovey are good Players. But they are nowhere near the best Players.

Gabe is one of the best though IMO. As an ex-Battlefielder, we only had bests in certain areas. Like best Scout pilot, best tank driver, best infantry, and etc... We also didn't assign best to one person most of the time. Like a top 3 if you will.

3 RepliesCrucible isn't competitive. The whole thing is based on gimmicks and skill-less matchmaking. There's no ranking system and the TTKs are way too fast. Not to mention being able to use a [i]special[/i] weapon as a primary the whole game.

It's all about awareness and when you push the button. Doesn't require much skill. Not saying if you're new to the game you can't go "pro", but after awhile the whole try hard shit is only targeted to players who actually do good.

Lag plus broken guns and broken classes means skill is not a factor. Sure, you can be skilled, but it will always, so far anyway, be countered by a bullshit tactic, gun, or Super.

Back before Thorn really took off I was personally ranked 300th in the world (fallen pretty far since then apparently though I don't feel like I've lost any skill) out of millions of players but the meta and lag have both just been ever-worsening to the point where I find myself questioning my own accomplishments. The sad truth is you can't really know if you had a good game, or if everyone else was just unable to stop you because of the connections. You know things are bad when it's possible to get post-moterm kills on someone as much as 5 seconds after death or watch helplessly as a guy eats multiple hits from a super.

1 ReplyIt would be intellectually impossible to determine the best player without first identifying the top players and then having them face off in bracketed tournament controlled by a ruling body...multiple times. Until then, it is ALL most certainly little more than conjecture.

Although I think their are players that are good at Destiny's PVP and probably good at other FPS games, it's hard to call Destiny truly competitive because there are issues with Crucible that make it unbalanced and effects the outcome. Not having dedicated servers, lag, cheaters, weapons and class balancing issues effect the game. Maybe once there is an equal playing field, we can see real player skill and start to find out who's the best. The day Destiny PVP starts having world tournaments with big cash prizes to determine e who's the best, is the day I call Destiny PVP competitive.

You could have asked us to agree and we could have gotten in line or we could have objected. Yes there is a best Destiny pvp player...Me. Why? There are many good players in the crucible but there is no "best" The guy that has the most kills in the world could have the most deaths. The guy that has the best K/D could have 50 kills and 1 death. The guy that played the most games could have a very negative K/D. Theres good but no perfect.

If this game was competitive then it might matter, if I didn't play for fun. Those of you that want a ranking system, there is one. Destinytracker.com and check out your leader boards. The rest of us just don't care.

2 RepliesI've played against She's My Nerd, he wasnt that great. I made him rage a bit after sponging a rocket to the face mid Nova bomb. Destiny is a team game, so picking 1 person is silly imo. Also each gamemode requires different types of skill. My votes would go to JKHovey Or True Vanguard
