1 ReplyI really hope they bring Thorn to Y2. It's just such a dope weapon. & it's always been good in its own right. Bungie screwed up making it as powerful as it was... The only reason Thorn got so big was because everything was turned down to horse shit...it got big in 1.1.1, the patch that destroyed auto rifles, & buffed pulse rifles. That was the start of the Thorn / LW meta...with the occasional pulse rifle thrown in. In that patch, Thorn / LW didn't get some inherent buffs. They didn't get made God tier out of nowhere. They always were, you just had more options to use besides them..... HC's across the board actually got an accuracy + range nerf according to patch notes (lel). anyways though, Thorn was my first exotic. I really loved it. Cleared my first VoG w. Thorn man...did my first Trials Passage w. Thorn. I'm really looking forward to it becoming a Y2 weapon... but, I must say, it wasn't my most used weapon during its reign as supreme. I used Hopscotch Pilgrim + Messenger more. Allfate.

2 RepliesI would love to have Thorn head to year 2. I have been a fan of the Thorn since I found out what it was. Current records show that I have collected 20,832 kills with my Thorn across all three of my characters. 14,836 of those documented kills have been from my Warlock alone. lol

I want my Thorn back! Not because I need it as a crutch. But I am sick and tired of this god damn pulse rifle meta! EVERY -blam!-!NG game its, for example, "Nirwen's Mercy", "Hawksaw", "Suros- P"-whatever the f*ck, or a Hakke pulse rifle! And before you tell me, a year one beta boy, and a holder of two "We ran out of medals" (and if this was my old hunter, one million+ crucible score) to say "Git gud m8". Teh I already am. I have a voice, and it speaks for a lot of people.
