Update, 5 pm, 19th:
Did a checkup. I have rewatched a game this morning. There were 60 kills with primary weapons:
Scouts: 3 kills
Automatic Rifles: 4 kills
Puls Rifles: 53
Well...
I'm a PvP-Player. I don't think I'm a bad player, neither am I the best. And actually I don't complain about OP/Nerf stuff and so. But what's going on right now in the crucible (Iron Banner) is really ridiculous. You have literally no chance at all against people with pulse rifles when you use other weapons. Therefore: Everybody has to use it. No diversity at all. And I hate to play pulse rifle.
I hope there will be a better balancing soon, otherwise it will kill my fun.
Additionally: 4 Errorcodes in 1 hour. This kills my fun too.
e.1/ It's "funny" to see that people have no culture of debate and have to flame. Sorry guys, you can't provoke me with that.
e.2/ For today, it has killed my fun and motivation. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow again.
e.3t/ It's a new day. Let's have a look.

I agree. Pulse rifles are the most boring weapon type. I hate them to be honest.
-
Why is someone running around taking pictures to catalogue the different crucible species?
-
If your team is using red death steal their kills. They won't heal. It adds some fun if you are losing. I noticed this one game when I had more assists than deaths. And I died often. Like .4 kdr and ahead of players with better numbers and less score.

This is a company that can't even balance shotguns and sniper rifles. Do you expect them to create balanced pvp? They obviously can't do it.

5 RepliesBeen using my eyasulnia, got a great roll on it and it's taken me to the light house a few times sense I've had it. It's fun. Before the update I was a pulse rifle and sniper guy and now for some reason after a shotgun and hand cannon nerf I started using them.

There are a lot of viable scout and auto rifles. And you can get pulse rifles that handle like auto rifles and perform very well. I only use pulse rifles but its just because I've always used pulse rifles since year one
-
7 RepliesAnd if your under 300 light you have feck all chance
-
Been using scout works just fine
-
I have been using them more also because of the power diff. But right now you can do good with other weapons for once so for me it is more balanced then it was in the past. They're heading in the right direction.
-
Went 26 and 12 the other day with ace of spades. Average 1.0 to 1.5 k/d with scouts on a regular basis. Pulses are easier to use, but if you fight at your weapons most effective range you can do well.
-
I have to slightly disagree. I have loved my NM. But I pulled out my dusty Monte and actually did better with it than any of my favorite pulse rifles. Shocked to say the least.
-
I've learned that hardly anything at all can compete with a Pulse whether if it's long or Close quarters the pulse still wins no matter what, it's really annoying and it's hard for me to get used to crucible ( I play a lot of it) now, every gun I use just makes Me feel awkward and I just can't ._.

1 ReplyI have recently vetoed my Destiny addiction and got back on today and instantly remembered why I don't like it any more
-
I could get killed by people who already died less in left 4 dead
-
You can kick their ass if you pro headshot with scouts. It's so fun to do
-
2 RepliesI saw plenty of weapon variation over the course of 20+ matches. I used Monte Carlo exclusively and never felt that I needed a pulse rifle to compete.
-
4 RepliesMate. I'm crap at PVP so take what I say with a pinch of salt... What ever weapon you like to use is fine as long as you get the first hit. If not run and hide! Obviously pulse rifles are the meta but you can beat them if you play cagey... Even I have won the odd match and I was mostly rocking First Curse!

Ive never liked pulse rifles (aside from Red Death), but ever since they've buffed the hell out of them and nerfed the other primaries to crap you're pretty much stuck using pulse rifles in PvP if you wanna keep up. I feel like it should also be noted that pulse rifles were for a really long time the most underused primary, maybe even weapon type overall. The game devs then pushed people to use them instead of making more cool/ useful new ones. Kind of funny how both Y1 pulse exotics get brought to Y2 but most other Y1 exotic primaries were left behind. On top of all that the gunsmith sells an amazing pulse, last IB gave out an amazing pulse, and then if that's too much you can just buy yourself a Hawksaw from the vendor.

Try the Does not Bow auto if you have one. I have it equipped on my lock if you want to check out the stats. I'm garbage at crucible and have been doing ok with it. In the hands of a more capable guardian it would wreck.
-
2 RepliesStarted with Tlaloc, ended up using Hawksaw.
Check my warlock for what I used more
-
2 Repliesthis is why you use no land beyond with my trusty new monarchy sidearm. :)

1 ReplySo what i cant use my red death anymore even though ive used it since i got it my second week and loved it before the reworking. its like thorn all over again which i used as my go to postmortem gun then it got patched and was good so i used that for a while i aint ashamed. Point is this the meta is always changing i for one as a avid pulse rifle user can see that more and more people are in fact using them along with scouts and autos.

I do just fine with my eyasluna.. And for those long range engagements I take out my sniper
-
I use the dose not bow assault rifle and telesto
-
They can't balance shit in this game, all 2.0 did was swap pulse rifles for handcannons as the most powerful gun, it is somewhat easier to use other weapons, but most times pulse rifles will win out in a 1 on 1 situation, and of course that's when someone actually uses a primary, most of what I saw today was sniper campers and shotgun only people.
