[Update] What's happening in the crucible right now is beyond good and evil
Update, 5 pm, 19th:
Did a checkup. I have rewatched a game this morning. There were 60 kills with primary weapons:
Scouts: 3 kills
Automatic Rifles: 4 kills
Puls Rifles: 53
Well...
I'm a PvP-Player. I don't think I'm a bad player, neither am I the best. And actually I don't complain about OP/Nerf stuff and so. But what's going on right now in the crucible (Iron Banner) is really ridiculous. You have literally no chance at all against people with pulse rifles when you use other weapons. Therefore: Everybody has to use it. No diversity at all. And I hate to play pulse rifle.
I hope there will be a better balancing soon, otherwise it will kill my fun.
Additionally: 4 Errorcodes in 1 hour. This kills my fun too.
e.1/ It's "funny" to see that people have no culture of debate and have to flame. Sorry guys, you can't provoke me with that.
e.2/ For today, it has killed my fun and motivation. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow again.

I haven't even picked up a pulse rifle in year 2 Crucible. Been doing work with Imago Loop.

5 RepliesI will debate with you there buddy. I just can't wait till next month. The fix is in and we will return to vanilla Destiny with AR's being in the thorn spot. Shotguns will suck again and I want you to come back and report on how Zhalo needs a nerf cause that will be every single damn post in December after the next round which is like round 10 of bringing balance to the sand box.

10 RepliesPulse rifle is the metta. That's just how it is. Once pulse get nerf there will be a new metta. This game is hard to balance with all the perks that effect damage. Bungie can have all weapons without perks balance but there will still be op rolls on guns.

5 RepliesJust joined a lobby of entire team of breakers. Once they got their fist super I kid you not we had 3 minutes of spawning and immediately dying to a hammer. It was so cheap, couldn't even move an inch before dying.

I'm having better luck with scouts than anything else (I love that Vendor Hung Jury) while running with a Thesan or Darkblade's Spite fusion as secondary. More enjoyable than "Thorn Banner," there's a lot of pulse rifles right now of course, but there's a better mix of weapons now.

8 RepliesIron Banner is supposed to be more competitive and hardcore than regular Crucible. People are simply using the meta and there's nothing wrong with that.

I've gotten more kills with my Hawkmoon than with my Red Death. I just do better with HCs. But pulse rifles are OP, I just suck with them.

Rank 4 1/2 and I have been killed with pulse, auto, hand canon, sniper, shotgun, machine gun, sword, fusion rifles, grenades, and supers. Pulse rifles are what is on top right now but they are not impossible to overcome with other weapons.

12 RepliesOkay, the error codes. Possibly Isis. Have been making sustained ddos attacks on European infrastructure since Monday. Just saying. Aa for everyone using pulse rifles. A quote, from bungies weapon sandbox team: Balance is not about equality. If it was, everyone would be using the same thing, pursuing the same broken weapon. That is not balance. Okay. See that? So why is everyone loadout typically pulse rifle, sniper/shotgun and raid machine gun? Is that not everybody pursuing the same broken thing? Anyway. I'm on sabbatical playing Pokémon - you know, a real competitive game and e-sport 😜 Yeah. Just went and made that comparison.

I'm glad someone else caught on. I was watching my buddy play and just watched the kill feed. It was absurd the amount of pulse rifle kills. This is just in regular clash mind you. Obviously, things need to be changed, and hopefully this coming update pushes things in the right direction.

10 RepliesCommunity follows a "monkey see, monkey do" attitude and will defend this vigorously. Examples being: Thorn Pulse rifles And now *drum roll* abusing the shit out of snipers. Any balancing will give us a week, tops, before someone finds a new "meta" and everyone else follows in line.
