Went ahead and got rid of Destiny, bought cod, and preordered Fallout. It was a great couple years with yall and and I hope those that stick around have the best of luck with RNG. Yet it's time to move on out to bigger and better games :D
Before the salty destiny defenders come in and tell me that nobody cares and posts like these shouldn't exist on the forums, let me remind you that I'm not alone in this and I am someone. There is a double standard that exists on these forums and too many of you forget that.
As toxic as this community is, ive had my fun and you all deserve a goodbye just as much as you deserved a hello when this game first released. Cheers and have fun Guardians!
Edit:
- Last time I played was the evening of the 6th of November. Paradox mission and some year 1 PvP.
-This post was made 16 to 16 and a half hours ago from the time of this latest edit.
-I said a couple years because my clans been around longer than the game and I've known this community longer as well.
-I won't delete my characters for two reasons: it would require reinstalling the game, and I'm a man of my word. If I say I'm not playing anymore then I'm not gonna play. Some of us have things called willpower and self control. I have nothing to prove to anyone by deleting characters.
-My opinions are what they are: my opinions. If you feel I'm leaving for lesser games then so be it; that's your opinion. I'm having my fun and you should too.
-this post was never made to gather so many responses. I just wanted to wish you all well and say goodbye. When you stop playing a game you love and have a lot of great memories with it, you or at least I, feel compelled to say farewell. I know some of you will understand that.
-thank you to all the Guardians who saw the legitimate sincerity and honesty in my post. You are what made the game worthwhile when I still played. Rock on!
-If you don't care don't comment and stop my post from trending, which it most definitely is. If you ask me though, this community appears to care quite a bit.
-I am the liquor.

Look at this big boy making big boy choices.

I actually left Destiny for a while. Made level 32, and quit around Hard Mode Crota. Then I came back about a month ago. Have yet to try this raid, attempted Trials of Osiris last week for the first time, and oddly enough.... I'm glad to be back. Wish I would've stuck around for Prison of Elders and Trials Year 1, but I felt like my one character had a good run in Y1. I had all the good weapons and lucky drops. Just got burnt out. Now it's a new game. I prefer this light level over the old 'you must wear raid gear only to be max level.' I love Trials, and I'm pretty anxious to try the raid. Although grinding is all the same. I don't have time for more than one character, I don't have time to grind everything and reach max in a week to get burnt out in two weeks. So at the pace I'm going, it's a good game for me on spare time. Pretty anxious to see how they continue. Good luck in your travels though! I will eventually get Fallout 4 or Halo 5. Stoked about that as well.

Proud of you buddy. I did this last week. It's a good feeling huh? It's sad how overwhelming the fan boys are in here. Like "Shame on you for buying a better game! It's single player and I'm here in Destiny doing this same strike for the 69474847 time" This community is toxic. Playing Fallout and Zestria. Life is so refreshing without Destiny. No more grinds. No more normal drops in heroic.

5 RepliesBye have fun paying 60$ for a single player game (: Don't get me wrong fallout is good but I'd rather wait for it to be 30$ (half price for half a game )
-
Bye, Felicia!

3 RepliesI can understand you announcing this to your clan, but publicly, to all of the community who 99% don't know you is pointless. I get the sentiment though this, like so many other threads in this forum, is a total waste of time and space.

5 RepliesEdited by FROGGY: 11/11/2015 1:27:10 AMAre people not aware you can play more than one game? I've been pretty much consumed with halo and can't put down fallout 4 but im sure I'll hit up destiny from time to time. I guess having the 1T storage helps me, at least I don't have to choose
p.s. I love ice cream
If you've been playing and looking at the forums for a year.....why you post this. Nobody cares....

1 ReplyDidn't delete? He will be back. I'm a man of my word.

Why would you worry about reinstalling a game that, according to your word, you would never play again? Honest question.

Muted

Thanks for letting us know you stopped playing a video game.
-
Guess how many people care. Did you guess? That's right. None.
-
Bravo welcome. Destiny is bullshit.
-
I understand fallout 4. But COD being a bigger better game? How many said that about the last COD then came back after a week?
-
Farewell and have fun on your new adventures. Visited a friend of mine this week-end and had a first glimpse at Fallout 4. Felt like coming home from a long journey. Will get myself a Xbox One in the course of the week and will finally move on. Destiny has been a unique experience in the last few months; I had some of the greatest but also some of the worst moments of my whole gaming history with it. Now I'll sign off to the wastelands.

May I add just one more thing? Thank you. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZF6mS01WxzM Thoughts?

You just saved yourself a lot of disappointment.
