1 ReplyYeah ToM is far and away the most beneficial KF raid weapon. For a Titan with bless of light it's extremely beneficial in almost any scenario. The DPS is OP a sling as you can offset the health risk with a blessing or relic bubble. However, for normal PvE use by a non-Titan class character I can see how it is inferior to something like the Jade Rabbit I'm hoping that the original post was satirical, but what initially separated Destiny from the CoD was the emphasis on recognizing situational and build specific advantages. The VoG raid mechanics and vanilla character build complexities weren't crazy advanced by MMO standards, but for the pre-teen FPS enthusiast it took some time before they could recognize that what work or is best in one situation isn't always best everywhere (unfortunately things transgressed to where we identified certain flaws like the original strength of the Suros, Nova Bombs, then the Bladedancer Hunter advantages, to the Gjally and Icebreaker, and Thorn, and the final round sniper and shotgun blinking...) but my point is that ToM is phenomenal in certain situations and with certain builds. It isn't necessarily balance disrupting (which is GREAT) because it isn't optimal for every encounter.

I say replace the reload perk (why does it need this?) with fitted stock (the small stability upgrade) and it would be fine. When your trying to use it at longer ranges the kick can get a little crazy is why. I think a tiny bump in stability would help a lot

Situational, like most of the exotics we got now. I only use it for the daughters and oryx.

9 RepliesNot every exotic is suited to every style of play. If you give the ToM to a run and gun Bladedancer who trades fire with the enemy but wins with superior gun skill, yea its gonna hurt him. If you give it to a Defender who has the ability to negate incoming fire, can boost the weapon's already heavy damage even higher, and has a variety of overshields to feed the gun (so it eats them instead of him), then he's gonna be a force of nature. Not every exotic is meant to be used in every way. Most of them are tailored to very specific play styles. So the ToM isn't for you, that's cool man. But it is still a great exotic.
