Im sure all you veteran Halo players were excited as hell when you saw the Halo 2 E3 Demo right? I was, i was just as happy as you guys. For those of you who havent, watch:

Now i dont remember seeing with Halo 3 or ODST, people screaming this much with the trailers, maybe at the midnight releases yeah, but not at the trailer. This vid showed the world how Bungie could improve on a game that had already revolutionized the world of FPS, the level was incredible and the final cutscene, memorable.
Bungie should look at this cut out level, and take parts from it to include in Reach, as the part of The Covenant Gun Emplacement that's taken out by Longswords (should be Shortswords but thats Halo Wars), Phantoms chasing you on the Warthog and leaving ground troops as you go and droping them on you're vehicle, and the end cutscene where you think you're finnally safe, but then Elites hot-drop on you're position and you have to deal with them.
All i hope is that Bungie takes a look at this, and use some of these elements in Reach to make it that game that made people cheer, or be left in awe. Bungie can still do this with there last game, and i hope they leave us all very impressed with there new game.
Posted by: Gazas That demo was really amazing, maybe a little scripted but that would only be because of the demo so they could show off some stuff. I still want Reach to be as free as the Halo games, unlike CoD, which is really scripted.
Yuh, CoD was too strict.
Posted by: Blitzboy289
Posted by: The GuZz Halo2 demo at E3 2003 was the most epic Halo stuff i've ever seen. Bungie must look at that wounderful demo they made and pick some elements of that demo into Reach. And just now with ODST it seems that Bungie is making some (good) backsteps and putting some good stuff in their games. Look at New Mombasa of ODST... it resemble the E3 2003 demo, large streets, high skycrapers, futuristic urban environment, and it looks cool! Maybe for Reach they will make similiar enviorments. And imo i thing Halo needs a little more scripted actions, we need more scripts if we want a more epic game, too much freedom of action makes the game losing his epicness. So i hope to see hard combats through the battleground in Halo:Reach, with Shortswords bombardments, Phantoms flying low on the city dropping Elites and firing on everything UNSC thing, and imo i hope to see a lot of urban enviorments, i love them! But the thing i think Reach need the most is a new feeling in the game, more dramatic tension, more epicness and less jokes among the Marines, a darker feeling of a sudden and unavoidable defeat!
Sounds epic, we need this
Cainda of like what i said.
Posted by: HipiO7
Posted by: General Lagalot That's it, just add a few thing that haven't been done before, for instance, in H2, you could duel wield, vehicle jack, and use the energy sword. All they got to do now, is think of something original. I thought of this idea in another thread... " Also, you could have radio channels for headsets, something like 1 through 77, and lets say that in the pre-game lobby you tell your team to go to a radio channel, so you can only hear like six people talking. Switching a radio channel would be as easy as pushing a D-pad button. Then, you could have designated "Hackers" on your team, that just sit back and search through radio channels to find out what the enemy are saying/ doing. Like in real life "walkie-talkie's" you can accidently find someone elses radio channel. You know what I'm saying? That would be soooo epic. Of course you'd still have proximity voice, but come on, how does that radio channel thing sound? Your friends could all be set to a certain channel, lol. In the pregame lobby it could tell each team a seperate radio channel, that's recomend, kinda like a default channel for the game. I'm I getting through to you?"
Yeah, good idea but if you're allowed to ''hack'' you;re enemys radio, then they should be able to do the same, if they find you're radio, when you talk, they will get a sit-rep on where you are. Also their should be an option to put the BR on Single Shot or 3 Shot Bursts.
It's only fair if they're able to hack you as well, but this is an original idea I thought of that would Dramatically change gameplay, also, they should make it so you can pick up Jackel energy shields, I seriously thought that you could do that until I purchased Halo 3 :/ You should be able to use it as a "Dual wield only" sort of thing, so you can charge an enemy, pull out the shield, and pull out the energy sword.... Just a thought.

The part where the Longswords blew up the Covenant Gun Emplacement was epic in that Demo. Was so disappointed when it wasn't in Halo 2, or Halo 3. I think the Halo games need more scripted events to make them more memorable.

The Halo 2 E3 Demo was amazing. I was disappointed when I saw that the level wasn't in the game, same goes for the single shot BR. I agree with everything you said. [Edited on 08.15.2009 5:48 AM PDT]
