After almost two months of the Taken King dlc being released, do you think it's really worth $40? State your reasons below!
At first, I thought it was but now I'm starting to think otherwise. I honestly think it's worth $30 max.

Edited by nRsia: 11/5/2015 3:23:55 AMIf it took 2 months after the release for you to get bored of it, you probably crunched a lot of time. More time than a typical game that isn't online. I believe you and everyone else including myself got our money's worth. However if you did everything the first day and stopped at that point...even still I would say 10-20 hours time spent on DLC is still worth the money.

I've played the shit out of this and I liked it. So yeah, I'm ok with the forty bucks. Especially considering it was in Canadian money which is worth $.75 right now. So basically I did pay $30 for it. Sorry guys overseas.

I think it was. Most games or dlc I pay 40 dollars for I only play for a couple hours and then it bores the hell out of me. I never touch it again. Taken King, I've been playing the crap out of it... But now I'm bored. BO3, Battlefront, and Fallout 4 will relieve me of this very soon.

If half the content wasn't still time-gated, I guess I could give an honest opinion. :/

6 RepliesI smoke that in a day in a half. It's pennies for such a great game. No, I don't smoke cigarettes.
-
8 RepliesHere's the analogy I like to use. Last night, I went out to dinner with my family. I ate a delicious $40 dinner. This morning, I flushed it down my toilet.
-
Nope. Literally paid 40 bucks to make the game smaller.
-
If your still playing you got your money's worth IMO
-
I think so. They added a lot. They also made a lot of stuff really poorly like taking away cosmetic only caped and fluctuating power levels on raid drops
-
Maybe more around 25 or 30, i love the expansion, but it seems a bit much
-
I would like it more if play time wasn't dragged out due to all of the time locked garbage
-
I bought the more expensive version and it's worth every penny
-
Considering I paid the same amount for uncharted 3 completed it in 6 hours plus it had no multiplayer definitely.
-
Just got my exotic sword so yes
-
Maybe $15
-
Only thing I don't like about 2.0 is three of coins. They mike nightfall irrelevant, which sucks cause I used to always look forward to Tuesday's for night falls
-
$40 is nothing, and ttk is okay, $75 NZ is still nothing but it's still the price of a new game and had I known how much content was in ttk I would of pre-ordered something else.

3 RepliesI've paid a lot more for a lot less enjoyment. I've paid 12 dollars a ticket to a movie I walked out on because it wasn't funny or had a good plot. So why is 40 so outlandish for something I've already put at least a hundred hours in.
-
Yes, I went out to celebrate Halloween and spent about $30. That fun lasted a few hours. I've put in way more than 40 hours on TTK already. So even if I leave now, it was still worth the $40, because I've had a lot of fun. I don't just for loot. I play for fun, loot is the icing on the cake.

1 ReplyFar more worth it that vanilla destiny was of the original $60. Wish I could get my hands on some of them other exotic armors that aren't out yet though.
-
I'm still enjoying it so yes it is worth it to me
-
Ill let you know once everything we bought is out, though seriously id put this $25 maybe $30
-
Can't put a price on joyful gaming.
-
$30 tops.
-
Can't tell yet. Half the content is still locked from us
-
Between $20 and $30
