Now. As a Playstation gamer. I've always looked at halo with curiosity. "It's just a damn shooter. How good could a shooter be?". I saw previews for Halo 5 and I thought "Hey, maybe this one will convince me to try it". Guess what? WRONG. I've looked at what the fans have said and have seen AngryJoe's review for it. Yes, I trust AngryJoe more than IGN and Metacritic. He's a player AND a reviewer and doesn't get paid to make good reviews for certain games unlike *cough cough* IGN *cough.
Let's look at the fails in the game:
-Amateurish campaign length (4 hours and 30 mins roughly)
-It's very easy with 3 other Spartans at your side
-the Spartans you play with are forgettable characters
-AngryJoe even said the graphics look beautiful but I always felt that Halo had shit graphics. Killzone looks better and was released in 2013
-You hardly ever play as Chief
-There are dumb missions that include just talking to NPC's
-The main character is Locke. Basically the whole story is Locke and his merry men who rob from the fans and give to Microsoft and 343.
-Halo 5 was advertised as a VS with Chief and Locke but that doesn't even happen!
-Terrible cliffhanger that doesn't earn it (don't know what happened but most of the time when people say that I find it to be true)
-Companion Spartan AI is dumb as shit
-You fight that warden boss guy like 7 times. SEVEN!!!!! I thought Destiny recycled bosses too much. We fought the gatelord and then 3 carbon copies of it. This Warden guy takes it to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. 7 times!!! wtf??? Whoever did that should be fired and never be allowed to make games again
-and of course, the dreaded and most hated MICROTRANSACTIONS!
-not to mention I've also heard people complain about how bad the spawn camping is
The strange thing with the microtransactions though, is that halo fanboys are DEFENDING IT. DEFENDING IT!!!!!! Wtf kind of drugs are these children on?! We don't want MORE microtransactions in games than there already are! According to AngryJoe, my only source in this, he went to the halo forums and ANYONE who says they disagree with the microtransactions are bullied, attacked, crushed, shut out, and hidden away because they so much as say ANYTHING bad about halo. Is this what the Xbox fanbase is supposed to be consisted of? If it is then I'll stick to my Playstation Nation.
So dear 343. You baited me on this Halo and I came SO close to getting hooked. But you lost it
EDIT: Lol so many butthurt posts I can't keep track of them all!
EDIT: Also forgot to mention that you guys are literally praising a sequel that TOOK AWAY shit from the previous games, nerfed the campaign and added microtransactions. That's Microsoft for ya. I hope you all know that Microsoft bought Halo specifically to gold mine the money from all you drones. The worst part is that it worked better than imagined

3 RepliesI don't like angry joes reviews because he will be intentionally angry about a game

6 RepliesEdited by GoatBoy2407: 11/10/2015 11:14:44 PM7 is bungies special number that's why the first bungie day was on 7-7-7. There is even a b.net emblem that is a seven with a bunch of moving sevens in the background. That's why you fight him 7 times

13 RepliesEdited by Cliffman22: 11/11/2015 5:08:18 AMBest selling halo ever so yeah no it's not failing
i don't even play halo and am on PS4
1 ReplyAngry Joe literally gets paid to bitch and whine in front of camera very loudly. If he didn't he wouldn't get reviews. Honestly no one should say Halo or any game is shit UNLESS they've played the game and tried it out for themselves. Just because you read a review or watch a video on a game shouldn't justified your opinion. If it does, then you shouldn't play games and you're the reason why there are so many shitty players on these forums.

I completely agree that halo failed they missed opportunities everywhere like lock vs chief, blue team in game and more forunner character

11 Replies"I saw Angry Joe's video I know everything about a game I've never played."

1 ReplyI cannot even begin to understand the dumbass fanboys who defend micros transactions. If we don't say no to it now, we won't get an option down the road. And it's only going to get worse.

Edited by AbioticApple: 11/11/2015 5:49:16 PMAngry joe although he didn't play the game that much like the reviewer he claims to be had some good points. But as for the micro transaction he was completely wrong. A pay to win system is like the name implies. You won't win anything unless you pay. Halo 5 however is not pay to win. A battle rifle and assault rifle is all you need to perform well. Big vehicles like tanks can be destroyed by jumping on it which by the way most of the maps cater to the player more than the tank. You don't need to pay anything if you don't want to. I used to like his reviews. Then I realized how biased he is and how little he actually played the games he reviews.

I can assure you most of the thing angeyjoe said are true.
-
You're bitching about microtransactions, are you kidding me? It takes like 4 games to be able to afford the most expensive pack. And you're just gonna fuсking trust someone's review on it even though you haven't played it. You're doing a real lazy job trying to convince us.
-
Play they game first, then we will talk
-
I expected you got this from angry joe

The micro transaction are incredibly well implemented. Ensuring its not pay to win. We have micro transactions so we don't have to pay for DLC. Unlike another certain game which does both.

1 ReplyYour just a Ps4 fan boy who just loves to let be known.

10 Replieslol nope. Biggest launch in halo history = no fail. Does it have problems? Umm duh yeah, Radar sucks, no splitscreen or elites, no hornet or falcon, more Locke then MC. But it's still a great game, as well as halo game.

1 ReplyHey anybody here, message me for some halo 5 fun!

1 ReplyFor those interested this was Joe's response on Neogaf.
Hey guys, So I’ve noticed so many of the people who pick at the review focusing on trying to dispute the length while ignoring all the other points in the video. Note that this length was 4.5 Hours on Normal. With a full fire team of average to very good players. While not trying to grab every piece of intel nor the skulls. I stated this in my review. Its on Normal. A running joke on my show is that if a game ever ends within 4 hours, i do the "4 hours slow-mo bit". It ended at 4hr 30min. Period. So the bit is in there. Notice how I immediately dismiss it as you guys do, but still mention that its never been that short for us since ODST. Whether you dispute that this halo is among the shortest halos or not, the fact is that it is on the shorter side. Now please move past the length and realize the game didn't get a "Slightly Above Average Rating" solely because of its length on normal, but because of the other 30 minutes of the review where in I highlight and talk about at length the other issues I felt held this particular one back. 1. NO SPLITSCREEN. 2. Dumb A.I. 3. Missing Forge & BTB (at Release, which is when I review it) 4. Recycled End Game Boss 6-8 times. 5. Cliffhanger Ending that was never earned. 6. Misleading Marketing with no Locke vs Chief clash as promised. 7. Rather underdeveloped Blue Team and Osiris Team 8. REQ Points Microtransaction's system. 9. Poor Map Rotation in Multiplayer Modes. 10....now the length. All those things and IT STILL manages to get slightly above average, IMO thats a HUGE achievement and a statement of its better qualities. Notice not a single one of you defending your purchase ever mentions these, its just how much of an "idiot" I am for playing on normal and having a show with an over the top character for entertainment while making informative points. As if you only understand things in black and white. Come on mangggg. Halo isnt a Bad Game. a bad game is closer to 4/10 not 6/10. For me Halo 5 is a step in the right direction but too many things hold it back for me to go out and recommend everyone but halo fans go out and buy it. I think that's fair enough without getting bashed for it. Thanks guys, Love you all here, even those that hate my characters personality to the core! Your discussions are always a great read! -please just link angry joe video: although your summary is on point. -graphics are actually beautiful, don't try to deny it: they've gone more minimalist this time around, which I kinda like -the walky-talky story missions would be really good if they were much larger and did not count as an actual mission of the game. They should have served as like a Tower/loading area for between actual missions -Warzone is actually really fun Otherwise, you've basically covered it all. Would I call Halo 5 a failure? No, but it sure isn't a success.

10 RepliesYou do know that you can get those "microtransactions" without buying them right?
-
Reading this gave me cancer. I don't think I'm going to make it. Make sure to feed my dog sparkles...
-
If you truly think that micro transactions are naturally bad that you obviously havent looked at the game world much. Look at games like counter strike and team fortress, they essentially give out their games for free in exchange for having mostly cosmetic micro transactions. I would say that is a pretty fair deal, if you want you can give money to the company and if you dont want to you dont have to. In the case of halo 5 it is micro transactions in exchange for free dlc, i would say that this is actually a very nice step for the gaming industry to take, where the choice to spend extra money is completely in the gamers hands and the gamers arent being bribed by content that would essentially complete their game.

The campaign is shit but the multilayer is one of the best I've played since bf4 so it redeems itself there for me.

Edited by joibasta: 11/9/2015 2:54:22 PMPlay the game and find out yourself. I extremely enjoyed the campaign and I love the matchmaking. Oh and I'll give a review from a person too because why not :D

Good thing I play halo for the multiplayer....
