Now. As a Playstation gamer. I've always looked at halo with curiosity. "It's just a damn shooter. How good could a shooter be?". I saw previews for Halo 5 and I thought "Hey, maybe this one will convince me to try it". Guess what? WRONG. I've looked at what the fans have said and have seen AngryJoe's review for it. Yes, I trust AngryJoe more than IGN and Metacritic. He's a player AND a reviewer and doesn't get paid to make good reviews for certain games unlike *cough cough* IGN *cough.
Let's look at the fails in the game:
-Amateurish campaign length (4 hours and 30 mins roughly)
-It's very easy with 3 other Spartans at your side
-the Spartans you play with are forgettable characters
-AngryJoe even said the graphics look beautiful but I always felt that Halo had shit graphics. Killzone looks better and was released in 2013
-You hardly ever play as Chief
-There are dumb missions that include just talking to NPC's
-The main character is Locke. Basically the whole story is Locke and his merry men who rob from the fans and give to Microsoft and 343.
-Halo 5 was advertised as a VS with Chief and Locke but that doesn't even happen!
-Terrible cliffhanger that doesn't earn it (don't know what happened but most of the time when people say that I find it to be true)
-Companion Spartan AI is dumb as shit
-You fight that warden boss guy like 7 times. SEVEN!!!!! I thought Destiny recycled bosses too much. We fought the gatelord and then 3 carbon copies of it. This Warden guy takes it to a WHOLE NEW LEVEL. 7 times!!! wtf??? Whoever did that should be fired and never be allowed to make games again
-and of course, the dreaded and most hated MICROTRANSACTIONS!
-not to mention I've also heard people complain about how bad the spawn camping is
The strange thing with the microtransactions though, is that halo fanboys are DEFENDING IT. DEFENDING IT!!!!!! Wtf kind of drugs are these children on?! We don't want MORE microtransactions in games than there already are! According to AngryJoe, my only source in this, he went to the halo forums and ANYONE who says they disagree with the microtransactions are bullied, attacked, crushed, shut out, and hidden away because they so much as say ANYTHING bad about halo. Is this what the Xbox fanbase is supposed to be consisted of? If it is then I'll stick to my Playstation Nation.
So dear 343. You baited me on this Halo and I came SO close to getting hooked. But you lost it
EDIT: Lol so many butthurt posts I can't keep track of them all!
EDIT: Also forgot to mention that you guys are literally praising a sequel that TOOK AWAY shit from the previous games, nerfed the campaign and added microtransactions. That's Microsoft for ya. I hope you all know that Microsoft bought Halo specifically to gold mine the money from all you drones. The worst part is that it worked better than imagined

I love the game, but I agree with all that. Except for the Spartans being forgettable an maybe the graphics. But I especially agree with what you said about Warden Eternal, the Spartan AIs, the fact that you barely play as Chief, and the Microtransactions. I died so many times cuz the Spartans were just like "Fück that I'm not gonna revive him."

By graphics, I think you mean art style.
-
Halo didn't fail it just came out at the wrong time that is all :\

1 ReplyYeah and call of duty advanced warfares campaign was like 1:30 2:00 hours long so you're point

Halo 5 is an excellent game. Don't let the mindless hate for the Halo franchise sway anyone from playing it. I'm not sure why, but Halo spawns more internet hate that any franchise.
-
Ah, so much hate. Let the hate flow thru you. Also halo is awesome. Except for 4. Screw halo 4

Buck was the only thing that made the story fun.

7 RepliesThe multiplayer is the most competetive pvp on the market. Games are so intense as you rank up. The most balanced game out there

1 ReplyForge? I'm exited for forge. Screw the rest of this game

Dude halo 5 is only a good game once you have loads of mini-games and a ton of friends

10 RepliesWell -blam!- angry joe. How about that?

9 RepliesEdited by Maverick_Vision: 11/13/2015 6:07:39 PMYes, the warden may be recycled, but at least it is backed up by lore "He has one mind, but millions of bodies"

Edited by Commander Tempu: 11/13/2015 9:07:38 PMThey have not learned from Destiny. PVP might be good but a crappy campaign? Seems that 343i and Ms taking notes from Bungie and Activision. Halo does not need micro transactions. If you are cutting story for Micro transactions then you the player are stupid for buying them. I took flack for using Angry Joes video on Destiny. So i am with ya. Rather trust Angry joe and the truth. Not IGN and watered down impressions.

1 ReplyYour opinion carries no weight if you haven't played it

1 ReplyAngry Joe gets as much attention as he does by making overly harsh criticism on a popular franchises just for shock factor

Edited by GreekGuy99: 11/13/2015 6:43:54 PMAt least it isn't like Destiny's microtransactions. In Halo 5 you can at least EARN req points. In destiny, GG, no choice but to spend your money for those new emotes. Also from what i read all the problems are with campaign? Like really, i understand Halo is known for its great campaign and 5's campaign was subpar but still. You buy a game like Halo or CoD or anything else of the sorts for the competitive multiplayer.

OP is lettuce

3 Replies*buy preowned from GameStop *complete campaign in under 7 days (did it in 5 hours :/) *return to GameStop *trade in game for full refund *profit. I really just wanted to see what the campaign was about.

You continue reviewing a game you never played, I'll continue muting your dumb ass.

Edited by Bandicoot: 11/13/2015 4:27:02 PMLol, it hasn't failed in the slightest, I think you're just a bit salty. Plus I've stretched out my campaign to 16 hours.

The things about micro transactions in h5 is that they do 2 things. Give you cosmetics or give you a weapon for war zone. Normally that would breach the unspoken rule of don't put game changers in micros but... They honostly don't matter for shit. I might get a ghost that shoots exploding bolts but at the end of the day it's a ghost. Its weak and if your not really good with it it you will die, or someone will shoot you out, or jack it ect... Same with a weapon they might be amazing but they're limited and in a game of war zone the average life span of any weapon might be a minute. Also, and this is the biggest, they are 100% optional to buy. Id rather earn mine as its like 4 games for a gold. At like 3.99 per pop they kind of limited how much the fan base is going to buy it. So yeah there's microstransactions but there hardly make a difference. Halo is not a pay to wind game. As much as 343 fudged the campaign I'd like to think they give a shit about mp and there player base. Plus any company that understands how today's gamers look at micros won't do it wrong. Its the reason why this is one of the few posts that I've seen containing that complain. TL;DR Halo micros aren't that bad because they cost to much for the average player to was money on more than like one and they don't really add much besides cosmetics.
-
Just to reiterate cause I'm sure it was already said, you can play the game normally and earn points for req packs or you can out right buy them. Even still aside from armor you may or may not recieve all weapons and vehicles can only be used in warzone and you have to rank up during the fight to use them. There's literally nothing wrong with it. Unlike in destiny where the only way to get silver is buying it, you use an already in game earnable currency. I didn't even read the whole post, just skimmed it and it comes off like youve never played the game. So why bitch about something that has no affect on you?

2 RepliesAll of your points are literally the Angry Review. I didn't like the game that much, but... seriously? All of your points?

49 RepliesEdited by Strongbad: 11/11/2015 9:07:52 PMWell a. You can't judge halo on its campaign, it's halo And b. Give it some time, the game is not finished and free dlc is just around the corner
