Anyone else taking a long break / quitting Destiny?
I used to [b]hate[/b] on everyone who say they quit Destiny but now I'm starting to feel it. I recently realized that TTK is a bigger grind than ever. (Raid = double grind for loot and light level). Bungie is time gating exotics for obvious reasons. They pretty much rendered year 1 useless. If they won't do anything until Fallout 4 or Black Ops 3 come out, I'm sure they will see an alarming drop in players.
If [b]yes[/b], I want to know why.
For me, I'm taking a break but contemplating on quitting though.

Need to finish the two last swords, and I'm so done with the game for some time. Nothing to gain, nothing to accomplish. Today news was the nail in the coffin. They told us microtransaction wasgoong to grant new content in game. Now they will continue paid dlc + microtransaction. WOW. Thank you bungie, and don't forget the post I made about trials. Dismantle destiny, or death.

3 RepliesObviously people are gonna leave. Hardcore online players will switch to CoD and grind there and hardcore RPG players will go to fallout 4. And many will do both only to come back to destiny for Xur and a quick one day a week grind

Fallout 4 soon!!! So i will stop grinding in Destiny, but i will still play Destiny for nightfalls, quests and raids... although it has been hard to find a fireteam to do the raid.

Play other games and take a break. No reason to treat Destiny like a job.

Bored with the content. Bored with repetitive rewards. Just bored with the whole game.

Lack of content, still a grind, " micro-transactions and dlcs can co-exist" was the cherry on top. No thanks, ill stick to Halo 5 Bo3 Battlefront and Fallout. Goodbye destiny once and for all

The grind for exotics or good raid weapons in year 1 was in my opinion really fun. Nightfall was something worth doing, but now, because there are not many (good) exotics and because of the time-gated exotics, there isn't really much to grind for what is worth grinding for. I'm just getting bored of destiny, so I am taking a break. Maybe do trials a few times, since I have never been flawless. I enjoy playing GTA online again and I might buy some awesome new games that are coming out These months, like fallout. I will just wait till there is new content for destiny or something.

Busy with a new job. Most of my friends have left for other games so finding a team to raid with has proved difficult with my hours. All the issues with cheating have basically left me with only pve which circles back to it being difficult to find a raid team. Running the same vanguard strikes has gotten boring. So I'll play halo with friends instead. Doubt I quit but a good break is due.

I'll probably jump on for the next IB, but that's only if the armor set is actually not a crappy 280. I held my own in IB due to the 310 cap but given that I don't put time into the game anymore I feel ill be out leveled once the next one comes around. I took a chance on TTK and realized I got burned. Oh well.

I've done this since launch: Play destiny religiously at first Hit the max you can do solo Co-op slowly until just below max Get burnt out Pick it back up when new content drops I'm probably going to judge the next expansion pretty hard, if it doesn't seem decent I probably won't pick it back up until something substantial comes out.

Yes the holiday games are just around the corner I haven't even finished raiding on my characters and I'm already bored with destiny again. It's only fun if you play with friends and don't even actually play just mess around.

Long break, just got tired of the terrible drops and lfg teams. Love the game, but not sure what will bring me back like i was. Also, just pre-ordered Fallout 4....so yeah..
