I used to hate on everyone who say they quit Destiny but now I'm starting to feel it. I recently realized that TTK is a bigger grind than ever. (Raid = double grind for loot and light level). Bungie is time gating exotics for obvious reasons. They pretty much rendered year 1 useless. If they won't do anything until Fallout 4 or Black Ops 3 come out, I'm sure they will see an alarming drop in players.
If yes, I want to know why.
For me, I'm taking a break but contemplating on quitting though.
Edit:
I'm glad a lot of you feel the same way. Sorry I can't reply to all of you.

Edited by TheApeMother: 11/5/2015 8:29:50 PMSadly after 2500+ hours I think I'm loosing 99% interest. 1% hanging on bc of all the memories, but that's all this game is becoming now, a look back to better times. Ok... Just turned off my console, now what do I do? I used to just always play destiny. Hello world!
-
Black ops 3 Destiny -blam!-ed up. I can't use quiver and Sunbreakers are ruining pvp. Lack of content. Shitty loot system This is coming from day 1 player who's gone flawless both years and beat every raid to date and got every weapon 312 Hunter.
-
I'll be taking a break pretty soon. Just don't wanna get to burnt out, then I'll come back in a month or so
-
now that I can buy weapons parts hell no. ill stick around and do some raid nightfalls weeklies and just have fun in pvp. why not?
-
1 ReplyI have been pretty much done with Destiny and bungie since ttk came out. Bungie pretty much screwed over anyone who had the game since the beginning and purchased tdb and how. They made all the items we had useless and gave us the finger. It's sad that bungie got in bed with Activision. The end result is a company that once cared and listened to it customers. Now we have bungie v2.0...lies to its customers, rips them off, and acts likes it cares but could basically give 2 shots as long as they keep sucking us dry.

I used to feel burnt out. But then I stopped treating destiny like a job, but rather a really fun game. I progress at my pace, rather than trying to keep up with the try hards. Taking it easy with the taken king content has actually reinvigorated my passion for this game, so why rush through it?
-
1 ReplyIt's just the raid drops for me. Tired of doing it for nothing. I wouldn't even care if my gear only went up one point at a time. At least that's progress.
-
1 ReplyBreak yea for fallout! Can't complain I'll be back. The hours I've put into it don't lie that I got my money's worth unlike most the people saying its a trash game and they got ripped off with 300+ hours. Just burned out for now!

1 ReplyEdited by Chitowndrunk: 11/5/2015 4:17:47 PMI'm out! They effed this game up! When they fix it, I might try it again.
-
I won't play this game as much once Black Ops 3 and Fallout come out but I'll come back once they release the Timegates on the Challenge modes and the other 9 exotic armor pieces.
-
I quit at end of year 1, I'm planning on going back at year 3 to get the most out of the game later on, then the grind/chores will begin again... Lol
-
My break from Destiny is not because Destiny has done anything wrong really (don't like day-gated exotics), but more because I'd like to enjoy other games again. The need to run "just one more strike" or grind out whatever resource was needed completely kept me from enjoying other games. Now I've got an unopened Witcher 3, Metal Gear Solid 5, Halo 5, and soon Battlefront waiting for me. I'd even like to run through the new SWTOR campaign. I haven't touched Heroes of the Storm in months. Destiny is a great game, but it's time I saw other people.
-
I'm finding it hard to get more into it now days.... The raid hardly drops anything so the grind is real lol but idk once you hit 310 the rest of the game has no point even hard mode can be beaten by a team of people above 310
-
Haven't played in a while might start playing again soon
-
I'm gonna be killing some zombie scum in bo3
-
I've put so much into Destiny, I forgot how great other games are.
-
I'm excited to enjoy gaming again.
-
I used to enjoy getting to the highest level...now I just am like "meh one day" I collect exotics though still just as vigorously...but the content? They really shouldn't have taken most of the strikes and what not out of rotation, they really need to add some more thrill of a sort to patrol, more frequent public events of a sort, have strike like mission on patrol where you have an actual like 20+ minute mission to invade a fallen hideout not a patrol mission to kill this major shank causing issues in the divide. Stuff like that would be nice.

1 ReplyI feel you.... it's just that fun anymore. Me and my whole clan haven't been playing hardly at all.....
-
11 RepliesThis is the last dlc I'm buying. The grind is too much now and it's the same thing every time.
-
Destiny is repetitive and boring. Its a re-skinned Halo. I love the game but the shit gets old. Time to put it down and hope Bungie gets their shit together.
-
Raid drops have been utterly pathetic, nightfalls have now become pointless, reducing drop rates for motes of light, strange coins, weapon parts etc have made this game mind numbingly boring. I really don't know what they were thinking. By doing this did they think people would stick around and play the same stuff over and over again? (Even more so than year 1 destiny). To keep people playing you need to keep things a bit fresh NOT have people do the same shit over and over. They got away with it in year 1 because everything was new. The concept for the entire game was fresh so most people jumped on even though there were flaws. TTK had the potential to be brilliant with better strikes and, in my opinion, a great raid. However, after my first few completions of normal kings fall and everything else up until now it feels........stale.......a chore.......really not enjoyable.
