I dont really feel the urge to play anymore. I REALLY enjoy the raid, but thats about it.
I don't really remember why i used to play for hours with no set goal, but at one point i actually enjoyed it.
Now, nightfall is fairly pointless. Pisses me off. Tuesdays were always nightfall/heroics with my friends. They quit weeks ago, i doubt ill do another nightfall anytime soon.
only place to progress is hard raid or ToO (not a big fan of crappy crucible, and cheaters with no fear of repercussions).
Exotic bounties are unfun and give you mostly situational weapons.
Just feels like Bungie tried way too hard to get us to grind more, and screwed up the actual enjoyment of the game.
Yes, i realize this is just my opinion.
Edit: Wow, that's a lot of replies, and in a strange occurrence, only a couple "git gud"s. I don't know if ive ever seen so many players agree.
Edit: I wish i could reply to all of you. I gotta say, im bolstered by the fact that an overwhelming majority are if the same sentiment. Thank you all for not turning it into huge rage fest with everyone bickering and telling each other to git gud. Im just glad to see im not the only guardian that feels this way.
Edit: Funny how Bungie has something to say about "the weapons drought of 2015" and not putting raisins in your vault because you'll get ants, yet nothing to say to the disappointed players that invested hundreds and/or thousands of hours in their game.
Its cool. They prolly assume people are going to return after playing another game for a while.
I havent played in a couple days. Not playing anything else, just have less than zero desire to play destiny.

2 RepliesIs see so much of this now and with more agreement than "you won't be missed". I'm sure they see this but the money has been made. There won't be jack shit till destiny 2. You can hope that all the people leaving hurts someone at bungies feelings but in reality again....they don't -blam!-ing care. $40 dlc and $5 dances put the last nail in the coffin for this games future. It'll be fun to watch it twist in the wind for a few years. Maybe even a destiny 3? Lmao!

I feel the same way

Told you so that it would suck and lack content. Told you all!!!!
-
They removed RNG almost Completely which is ok to a certain extent but now the Nightfalls are useless , very fiew weapons drop and most of them are quest only , if they could find a decent balance between the two it would work

1 ReplyI spend more time in orbit than I do playing because it's just boring. Then I go to the app n talk to the clan mates a bit then do something else. Once your to the point where you got a few or all your characters over 300 and all or close to all quest completed, there's nothing to do.

No shit, Sherlock

The quests were a great idea and addition to the game but they overused the great system. There's a quest for nearly 2/3 of everything in the damn game now and if it's not a quest then it's a bounty. I don't really mind it but it has made me a bit bored of destiny in general and for once it's not lack of content that's making me take a break from it. Hopefully trials will be a good map again this week to pull me in it a bit

3 RepliesTotally with you on this, this week was the first time I thought about deleting it. 1000+ hours and I don't enjoy it anymore. Fallout 4 though :-)
-
7 RepliesI picked up a used copy of "The Last of Us:Remastered" such a good game! Definitely helping me get over desticles

respect bump.

They've been doing that sense launch. Just saying.

The traction on this thread is pretty amazing, I thought I might be in an extreme minority seeing as how everyone was so excited for Spooky-ween. I guess players are burning out, especially given there is no DLC release scheduled to look forward to.

Yo 2 words. Fallout/mods.

What they fail to see is that nobody who is on the path of burnout is going to continue playing because they unlocked a new pair of hunter exotic boots. "Oh shit I haven't played in a month but the Twilight Garrison quest just came out I better get back on" That's their plan and frankly it doesn't work. I really really want telesto which can be earned right now but the desire for the gun is not enough to stop the slight burnout I'm experiencing. Why would it be any different for the other shit that I have no clue when it will be released? Really it's annoying and it gives me less to do right now in game. Which shortens the lifespan of the game. And the casual players who don't check the forums have no clue what's going on and they're probably ready to go through a terrible burnout and convert to cod or something.

I've kinda stepped out a little for halo 5 but I still help friends and stuff

3 RepliesThis game has me sitting in orbit staring at my ship more than I do actually playing it. Never had this problem before pre taken king.
-
Amen to this bro. I've been playing nonstop since beta, and they definitely stretched out the 2 "paths", the Raiders and the Trials. I've been playing the span of lots of activities, and just last night J hit 300. I think the fusing of weapons isn't what they intended it to be. Sigh....
-
3 RepliesHard to take comments serious from people who played this new dlc probably just about everyday then bash it.
-
3 RepliesI completely agree. Sad part is Bungie just doesn't see it. I feel they think extending the grind makes up for lack of content but it will end up boring us and clear us out faster!
-
This thread needs to live at the top of the forums until action is taken or we just don't bother to come here anymore.
-
4 RepliesThe grind is the same now as it was 12 months as it was 6 months ago. The difference is the rewards for that grind aren't as good now as they were then. Bungie just needs to figure out that the carrot they dangle can't be rotten next time.

Agree. That was a big reason why I sold my vanilla destiny (prior to buying the legendary edition for TTK). The only real goal to work towards was the raid, which outlived its fun value to me and never have me anything good. There is nothing to do in the "open world" aside from shooting the same enemies. Crucible is "meh" to me. I enjoy a balanced competitive experience. Yeah, getting loot was fun and exciting, but when I asked myself what was I going to do with that loot, the only answer I could come up with was to use it to grind for more loot. That's when I decided to sell the game, which felt like breaking my own arm, but once I got over the addiction I was better than ever! I bought TTK for the story improvements and wasn't disappointed, but now I'm in the same position I was before. Yeah, it's still a fun game, damn it all, but not very meaningful.
