The Bungie Security Response Team is on the prowl, issuing multi-month Trials bans to cheaters in the Crucible. Play nice!

3 RepliesEdited by DopenesS4109: 11/4/2015 3:17:20 AMYesterday against a team which included some guy with gamer tag (*****) on ps4 we were 4-0 in the match and suddenly I the last round that guy went red bar and came back to beat us... His team was not taking damage

14 RepliesBanning people won't fix anything. That's because ddosing or lag switching aren't the biggest problems in Trials. One match when my team was up 3-0 and all of a sudden the other team stopped taking damage and the team who we were wrecking before came back to beat us - that's the only time I thought a team I played could maybe be lag switching. The real issue with Trials is the weapon exploits... 1000 yard stare using quick scope. That in itself may not be an exploit but it's a mechanic that's certainly exploitable. Bungie can do a survey as to which type of weapon was used most in Trials and the answer would be pulse rifles and snipers. Bungie could do another survey as to which specific weapon was used most in Trials and that would easily be 1000 yard stare. All Bungie did by nerfing/removing year one crutches is create the year two crutch which is sniper rifles. Everyone can use a sniper rifle. Some are really good with them. Some are amazing with them. Some can quick scope a body shot followed by a grenade or primary shot and kill before a person even has a chance to shoot back. And some can quick scope a headshot from anywhere on the map without a person ever seeing the scope glare. So, in order to compete in Trials I shall have to learn to quick scope. It's not an exploit but it is an exploitable mechanic of the game. I'd honestly prefer Thorn and TLW to quick scoping but if you're not trying you're not winning. Anyway, my main point being that bans won't balance Trials because there's always an exploitable mechanic out there and it's always going to unbalance it no matter who gets banned.

3 Repliesi think they should be banned from game all together. and wtf is up with all the red bars, im so tired of this bull. regular crucible same way always some one redbar internet. i feel strongly that if they have red bar they should get booted from the match imidiately. i will not participate in next osiris if the red bars are constant with people im facing. its bullshit.

15 RepliesJust delete their characters and make them start from scratch everytime they cheat. That would deter people. "Omg guys i just ddos'd my way to all this sick gear" *two days later, logs on* "Thanks for violating the terms and conditions of destiny, you have been reset as a result."

6 RepliesI got some names that need a ban for you, where do I post them?

11 RepliesSecurity team on the prowl. This is funny when all you have to do is donate to certain streamers and they will run you a 9-0 card in trials. At one point Destiny stated that they would never allow Destiny to become a pay to play. Tell me how this isn't pay to play. Just because you feel the recognition you receive from these streams are good publicity doesn't mean you should turn your head to it. All you have to do is search Twitch for most of the main streamers and you will hear a drawing to run flawless or hear them accepting donations to run flawless. How is this fair?

5 RepliesYou might want to focus on that "connection based matchmaking" for trials. I ran into a guy who was in Australia and playing via Phone Data (using phone as a wifi hotspot). Seeing that I'm in Minnesota, why would you match me against someone like this? The connection was absolutely atrocious.
-
Pretty sure I ran into a few lag switchers, but I still had fun. Bounties and drops gave me an excuse to try.

21 RepliesYou guys really messed up trials for me and many other people. Mathcing up with youtubers alot and getting extremely hard teams and ending up losing after countless hours of work. When new games come out for the holidays be prepared to lose alot of people. Thanks for ruining another thing in destiny, good luck keeping destiny alive

Riiight ok

Every player who cheats should have a mark put next to their name so every time they want to do pvp they are only matched against other people previously banned for cheating. That's the best solution so cheaters play vs cheaters. I've only had it once in pvp that someone took far more damage than they should be able to.

2 RepliesEdited by UniversalRemote6969: 11/3/2015 3:25:43 PMYou want to post the bans? Honestly everything you've said so far could be bullshit. No offensive, I just want to actually see the progress. Every time I do trials at least one match is screwed because of cheaters
-
Please yes omg ran into 2 cheaters when trying to go flawless. We ended up beating them both but it was bad and depressing knowing that more than likely we would've lost because we couldn't do damage for half the match

No lo creo

7 RepliesDo anyone really believe they ban people? I find it kind of hard to believe. More important question is... What will Bungie do when Fallout 4 is released? Not much to do I think.

4 RepliesEdited by CheeryNibbler: 11/3/2015 7:06:57 AMCozmo hope your listening. Titanfall did it. A piece of software called fairfight. You cheat, your marked with fairfight. You can than only br match made with other marked players. Try to sneak into a regular game with non cheats by partying up with friends? The party gets marked, for as long as the cheat is a part of it. Cue games that equate the olympics of lag switch/bridge, mtu exploit, target cheat. Bungie could learn a lot from this. I still dont understand why name and shame is NOT a thing. Your well aware there are entire lists out there on the big old world wide web right? Wouldn't it deliver a smoother, more enjoyable pvp experience if players had a reference of cheaters (confirmed by bungie first, obviously) so that the playerbase can just block them on psn/xbl? Untill the bugs/exploits are sorted (the trials ban from HOW was supposed to be an initial deterrent - it did not work) something else must be implemented. General lag would be reduced by dedicated servers - I know that's not a fiscal option, but its a necessary one - too many are leaving because destiny lacks it. Down below, if you trawl through the comments you will see people actively naming and shaming. Go ahead. Ban them. Your non cheating players are tired of the cheats and simply dont care what T&C's they are breaking - what you going to do? Ban legit players? Bye bye player base

Rage of bahamut is the worst pay2win game.
