Halo 5. Everything Destiny should have been.
I just looked at gamespots review of halo 5. And I can't help but look and see where they out did and out shinned Destiny. Every aspect of halo makes it better than destiny. 60FPS, and weapon unique models make for the icing on the cake. Oh and I don't need a shader to chose my color.... Yep.. Looks like I'll be picking up a Xbox soon.

I don't get the love for the 60FPS that everyone is proclaiming. Yes I notice a difference between 30 to 60, but it has never been a big deal to me. What I'm surprised about is how nobody is making mention in how differently the game handles. Never have I played a game that felt so....slippery is the word I would use. Is there something turned off or dialed back that makes it crazy hard to get a bead on a target because it feels like there is zero reticle stick/slowdown. I find myself struggling to aim at targets regardless of the weapons, but it seems super noticeable with precision weapons. Now I'm probably what would be referred to as a filthy casual, but I have never had an issue aiming like I do in an FPS like halo 5. Am I crazy/bad or are others feeling it too?

Halo is absolute trash, not only in its mechanics but in actual graphics. They had months and months longer than destiny to create something mind blowing. Have you noticed how no matter where you are on any map [i]everything[/i] is the same color/texture? It is an absolute atrocity. It's last gen graphics and biting off destiny is just so unoriginal. 'Ground pound'? The fact that it's called 'guardians'? That capture the flag gameplay? Yeah, that is just a trashy version of rift. Also you're happy about the fact that you don't need a shader to change your color? So you like red or blue then? And FYI you don't actually [i]need[/i] a shader.

The underwhelming campaign was riveting. Warzone, the pay to win game mode, is amazing. And the unbalanced matchmaking is to die for.

1 ReplyIts like a 6 hour disappointing story, granted its better than destinys. then matchmaking over and over again. I used to play the shit out of halo, halo 2, and 3 (3 not so much). But once you beat the story in halo games it becomes a redundant cycle of grab power weapons and hold the enemy in the spawn.

Destiny has a lot more PvE elements and is more loot (or luck) dependent for replay ability. Halo allows you to crank up the story difficulty to make the games story mode more challenging. But you can only do so much PvE before you get bored, that leaves PvP. Halo is primarily skill based where Destiny is more about weapon load outs. So Destiny is more RNG luck dependent which can ruin the PvP experience for those that have not been blessed by the RNG gods. Single weapon classes or even a single weapon can rule supreme. This imbalance has been an ongoing issue with Destiny since day 1 and I believe will never be resolved. That being said if your looking for a more balanced approach to PvP then Halo is probably for you. If your not into PvP then stick with Destiny.

17 RepliesDestiny on PS4 is 60 fps. Also I heard the campaign on that game is short. And after campaign all there really is is PvP. So I guess my question is how is it what Destiny was supposed to be? Because from my understanding Bungie quit making Halo so they could make Destiny

I like both for different reasons. I was lucky enough to get halo about 6 days before general release. Only thing I wasn't convinced of was the direction the plot took. Mechanically it's a sound game though.

1 Replyweapon unique models.... for like what? 10 weapons? :-) Why even compare those two games? Halo is a first-person-shooter with a standard campaign and a big pvp part, which will (hopefully) be excellent and will provide the mainstay of the game. Destiny is a loot-driven, grindy-type game which offers a broader range of activities like Raiding, strikes, pvp, etc.... and people have all sorts of reasons why they play it.

Halo is doing just a bit better than destiny right now and I think that's mostly because of the fact their is an actual story to halo (halo5...kinda ruined cortana though)

Okay, I'm gonna say have fun with your game. But why are you on the forums of Destiny singing the praises of another game? This is the #feedback page, for [b]Destiny[/b]. What you've posted here gives no insight on how to make the game better. Constructively at least.

Shiny graphics, popular storyline, dedicated and well performing servers, no timeless farming. I'd say in the simple basis Halo 5 is doing as good as destiny
