Should Destiny have a Ramadan festival or should everyone be worried about offending some people?
The third answer (in case the whole thing doesn't display) is "No, because I'm sticking up for others who might be offended."

Hey Ninjas, how about you message me why you'll take my message down but don't warn these people calling other rednecks and crackers.

5 RepliesWhat's that?

Halloween was the only "event" last year. Probably the case this year as well.
-
Not going to lie, idk what religion its for. Sounds indian or something.
-
Thats the Day I quit destiny
-
How about no because that would be a stupid thing to put into a futuristic mmo-style shooter where the only thing that comes anywhere close to having any form of religion is that fact that the traveler was almost like our god, and the speaker is kinda like a prophet (although he really doesnt do anything). This thread is obvious bait -_-

1 ReplyTower gets leveled by an explosion for the duration of the event.
-
3 RepliesHalloween is religious holiday too
-
A big no. Bungie has been very careful about celebrating any specific holiday, because once you get specifics going on, you then have to cater to all beliefs. Right now they aren't really celebrating Halloween, but a Destiny equivalent. I see the same thing happening around Christmas. It won't be Christmas, but a universal variant so no one is left out... Secondly it's not about being offended or not. It's about using common sense. Thirdly, most Muslims I know WOULD be offended if their religion was fictionalized into a game. That doesn't mean that Destiny can't use aspects of it to create their variant, but as stated, using any one specific holiday would just open doors for bad blood.

Stop this stupid ass thread op is trying to stay crap with his choices
-
What would be the point of a festival where the goal is not to eat?
-
Why not? I love getting free stuff for no reason. For all the people getting offended and crusading through this post; why do you care? How can a virtual representation of some random fairy tale offend anyone? As for Christmas, call it what it is: Winter Solstice. Isn't that what they would call it in the future anyway?
Merry Newton everyone!
3 RepliesSure why not lets have a Ramadan Festival and also one for the Day of German unity when the Berlin wall got torn down
-
No no noooooooooo !!!!!!!!!!
-
-
What happens if you want to say no & aren't offended?
-
Nope, for the same reason there won't be Christmas events, because it's religious.
-
-blam!- you rag head
-
What about "it has not a huge impact in occidental society -compared to judeochristian culture- and people should learn more about it" option? Btw, I have no clue what can Bungie do to celebrate such thing.
-
2 RepliesI once stayed at a Ramadan Inn. Don't know what that has to do with Destiny though.
-
7 RepliesNo. Why? Every Muslim, whether he is fasting or not, must avoid playing with cards and other kinds of games, because that involves witnessing evil and doing wrong, and because it also causes hardness and disease in the heart, makes a person take the laws of Allaah lightly and makes him find it too difficult to do the things that Allaah has enjoined, such as praying in congregation and other obligations, and makes him fall into doing many haraam things

Get out

29 RepliesEdited by niksybrahhh: 10/29/2015 2:23:59 AM1. Someone makes the EXACT same poll for Christmas, 98% say yes. People comment that we shouldn't let religion dictate us, after all its christmas 2. OP makes exact same post about Ramadan People dont want it because no religion in video games So Christmas isnt religious? Logic? I dont see any

1 ReplyNoodles have a holiday now?
-
Pretty sure people are saying they're offended because there's no option to say I don't care or a simple no. I personally don't know much on Ramadan. How could destiny make a fun event out of it? Fright fest made sense cause most people know about Halloween and it's similar festive holidays.. But Ramadan? Like what would they even do? Not saying no to Ramadan exactly. Just curious as to what would make it fun for everyone.
