Why a Spartan would beat a Guardian
Spartans' motion tracker reveals close range targets.
Guardians' does not.
Spartan gets in CQ and runs circles around Guardian

Guardians don't seem to have a better strategy than [b]space magic[/b] and relying on their ghost to save them.
Ghosts can't revive if they are destroyed. A Spartan AI could fight with the ghost while the Guardian and Spartan fight.

47 RepliesI'm reading all of these replies, and it makes me laugh to see all the butthurt ps scrubs defend their guardians. Spartan II's would win hands down. The fight would be so one sided it would be comical to watch. For those who don't know (ps scrubs), Spartans are selected at a very young age out of billions of candidates. Military training becomes their life. Then, around puberty, they are given biological enhancements. Their bones are nearly indestructible, they can lift a tank off the ground, run faster than a car, they even have a reaction time so fast they can literally dodge bullets. When they complete their training, they are equipped with mjolnir armor. This enhances their already super human abilities, gives them a personal regenerating shield, and a built in AI that makes the ghost look like a toaster. Oh, and they all get fist of havoc. Guardians on the other hand, have no military training what-so-ever. People seem to think that having the ability to be resurrected by another [i]living[/i] guardian is somehow an advantage. If any of you have had a sprinkle of military training, particularly in guerrilla warfare, you would know how much of a disadvantage this ability is.

39 RepliesHow can you argue this? In Halo, there is no traveler. No traveler=no light=no abilities, they are just normal people without light. If Spartans and Guardians fought, obviously Spartans(far superior training, armor, biological enhancements, etc.) would win.

3 RepliesA Stormcaller could likely take down a Spartan. No matter how strong it is, titanium is a metal. Metal is conductive. Even if it is in fact insulated, the electricity would arc over the armor due to the constant stream, and would at least do something to the AI port in the back. If you don't consider the power of a guardian to be elemental and consider it to simply be Light, then consider this. In all of the instances of detonation of Light (Rift, Nova Bomb, grenades, Blighted Light), the detonation is very much so lethal. It goes to reason, then, that even against a plasma resistant suit of armor, a constant stream of Light would be akin to a those plasma blasts let out by Hunters, which would take out a player very quickly. You could argue that a spartan could use armor lock, but that doesn't last forever. It's meant for short impacts, while Stormtrance could release a steady stream or even just wait for the AL to run out. Post a counter to this, I'm interested in a discussion.

Halo lore would currently dictate Halo factions to be much deadlier than that of Destiny's, along with Spartan IIs and IVs superior to Guardians.

Where and how do they receive combat training? When do they first receive powers from light? How long does a guardian live? Do they live a normal lifespan or are they basically immortal till their ghosts are destroyed? Also what kind of Golden Age technology is still hidden. Too many damn questions and nowhere enough answers. Just tiny clues painstakingly gleamed from the damn grimoire cards.

A Spartan and a Guardian are quite evenly matched, given circumstances. Ward of Dawn vs anything: Guardian wins. Fist of Panic vs literally anything but Armor Lock: Guardian wins Hamster of Solomon vs literally anything: Depends on how smart the Spartans are. Nova Balm or Jazz Hands vs CQC Spartans: Guardian wins. Nova Balm or Jazz Hands vs NNOP Spartans: Spartans win. Fireborn vs anything: Depends on how smart the Guardian is. Shadowshot vs anything: Depends on how smart the Spartans are. Arc Blade vs CQC Spartans: Guardian wins, with exception to Energy Sword and Grav Hammer. Arc Blade vs NNOP Spartans: Spartans win, purely due to good ranged equipment. Golden Gun vs anything: Depends in the tactics and/or strategies of both sides.

Elite Vs Captain Hive Join in Shriekers start melting through Covenant troops Hunters deployed Ogres Deployed Hive summon an Ascendant The remainder covenant are then bombed by Rasputin Then, the surviving covenant face us, the guardians. Elites try. Sunbreaker hammer clinks. Elites flee. Rest of the Covenant fleet flees. Attacked by cabal and vex ground support on Mars (as seen on bastion) Then when they pass by the cabal, they meet the awoken fleet. If they survive the awoken fleet, they then face oryx's Dreadnaught. Taken spawn in covenant ships. Covenant try to push out of our system, but the Prophets get one final message. A voice is heard over their comms. "Dismantle Mines, yes?"

About the motion tracker/radar: the Spartan one is more precise but only shows MOVING targets, so a guardian could fool it by remaining still. Comparatively the guardian one isn't as precise but it always shows if there is an enemy nearby. Neither of them work as well on cloaked targets.

Guardian blinks and activates BladeDancer. [b][u]TL;DR - Guardian wins because he/she paid for DLC and has a higher light level [/u][/b] ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
