Just use a red death.
Special ammo spawns every 2 mins.
20% of my deaths are from taking special ammo and die instantly by a shotgun.
TAKE THE DEATH AND PREVENT THE ENEMY FROM GETTING A BUCKSHOT BRUISER.

I started to do the same a while ago. You have to treat special and heavy spawns as you would have done in Halo. Who controls the power weapons, controls the flow of the game (more or less). An enemy who has no shotgun ammo, literally cannot blink shotgun you. An enemy team which has no access to sniper ammo, will be less annoying on Pantheon.
