Why are there so many quick scopers in Destiny?
At least in a situation like this, I understand the problem lies with the player and not the weapon. Im getting soooo sick and tired of being in Crucible matches where there's literally a sniper around every corner. Why do you need a sniper rifle to kill someone who's right around the corner?! Most of the maps in the game are too small for them to begin with. I get they're supposed to one-shot you, but when EVERYBODY uses them within auto-rifle range, sometimes even shotgun range that's when it starts to get ridiculous. It's not Call of Duty people.....
*EDIT* It's died down a little bit, mostly happening in the Iron Banner. But now people run around in Skirmish with Y1 exotics. *sighs*

I don't quickscope unless it's shotty range. I will hard scope and walk around corners though. Don't stand still

Because Destiny has massive amounts of aim assist and the maps are all too small for hardscoping except for 1-2 sight lines on the entire map.

Because it's fun. My best ever quick scope was me switching from my primary and pulling out my Efrideet's Spear and nailing a self resurrecting Warlock before he could move.

4 RepliesQuickscoping takes skill imo so it adds a fun element. Also destiny's maps are really poorly designed for sniping in general so youre kind of forced to learn to quickscope if you're going to use a sniper

Quick scoping will always be a thing in fps games. Plus it's not that hard especially in destiny.

If someone can get a headshot on me with a sniper in auto range, more power to them. Few more steps and it would be shotgun range so what's the difference?

If you walk around a corner and aren't sliding or jumping, then a non quick scoper can be zoomed in at head height and kill you real quick like
