Why are there so many quick scopers in Destiny?
At least in a situation like this, I understand the problem lies with the player and not the weapon. Im getting soooo sick and tired of being in Crucible matches where there's literally a sniper around every corner. Why do you need a sniper rifle to kill someone who's right around the corner?! Most of the maps in the game are too small for them to begin with. I get they're supposed to one-shot you, but when EVERYBODY uses them within auto-rifle range, sometimes even shotgun range that's when it starts to get ridiculous. It's not Call of Duty people.....
*EDIT* It's died down a little bit, mostly happening in the Iron Banner. But now people run around in Skirmish with Y1 exotics. *sighs*

Is rather get kwikscope'd by someone with a skilled aim than shotgunned.

Lol you are aware 95% of player play with shotgun , right? Snipers take skill and even more skill up close.

They see the streamers doing it very effectively so they do it too. I personally don't use snipers in PvP but I see nothing wrong with others doing so. Hey if it works and you can pull it off, go for it. More power to you.

4 RepliesNow that I have Stillpiercer/1000 yard stare I understand how people go on ridiculous streaks just staring at a control point/doorway. The reticle literally jumps from person to person, I had to do very little to go on a Fiver on Shores of Time the other day. I thought shotguns were easy mode but honestly sniping is just as game breaking when highly skilled. The amount of people who run around a corner with their shotty ready but quickly begin to back peddle when getting hardscoped in cqc is soooooo priceless.

Nope it's not call of duty but if the aim of the game is to eliminate enemie players, then you kill them with weapons your good with

It's still like cod in the way that is snipers all have the fastest time to kill, so if you get good with snipers, you can beat any one.

Nothing wrong with a quick scope its a move in alot of games that is satisfying i do it in cod n bf but i dont really play this game for pvp do that in cod or bloodborne at the moment but if ppl can get u with a snip in this game then u gotta remember the 5 D's dodge duck dip dive and dodge

using sniper in cqc is the hardest thing in this game. and if your stupid enough to slowly come from around the corner when someone is hard scoping then stop playing fps

If you know a snipers round the corner then don't walk around it. He has his sights set at head level just waiting for you. Try jumping/blinking round the corner that will put them off for a couple of seconds.

I'd rather be picked off by a sniper for walking Into a doorway knowing it means they don't have a close range instant kill so I can push them aggressively than someone camping next to the door with a shotgun

1 ReplyYou should start matches with 0 heavy and 0 special. Special should spawn in 2 locations, only grant a few rounds, and spawn twice as quick as heavy. Would force more primary battles over heavy and special.

Difference is that we headshot you in any situation to get the one shot kill. If we hit a body shot we will probably die. Shotguns one hit kill all the time body shots. Only shotgun that needs a headshot for a kill is the chaperone.

If he's around the corner and you run there and get sniped, it's not a quick scope.

I don't quickscope unless it's shotty range. I will hard scope and walk around corners though. Don't stand still
