Why are there so many quick scopers in Destiny?
At least in a situation like this, I understand the problem lies with the player and not the weapon. Im getting soooo sick and tired of being in Crucible matches where there's literally a sniper around every corner. Why do you need a sniper rifle to kill someone who's right around the corner?! Most of the maps in the game are too small for them to begin with. I get they're supposed to one-shot you, but when EVERYBODY uses them within auto-rifle range, sometimes even shotgun range that's when it starts to get ridiculous. It's not Call of Duty people.....
*EDIT* It's died down a little bit, mostly happening in the Iron Banner. But now people run around in Skirmish with Y1 exotics. *sighs*

Ikr? I'm getting killed by Snipers at close Range than I am by Shotguns. Shotguns still dominate mid-range, though.

Maybe that's how we like to play. I don't like running shotguns. I have way more fun sniping. Map size is no issue to me.

Depending on the map I switch back and forth with sniper and shotgun. But there's been quiet a few time some one rushed up to me and I go to switch Mr weapon and shotgun them just to realize that's my sniper fuuuuuu. That's about the only. Time I quick scope.

That's what happens when people complain about shotguns and nerf them into oblivion. People will obviously move to the next best special which are snipers and quickscoping makes them deadly all over the map, at least with a shotgun you had to get up close.

Because weapons like 1000 and the Raid Sniper exist with ridiculous aim assist.

If you were to complain about this for trials I've would've lost faith in destiny crucible players Because snipers gonna snipe no matter what this ain't no Dora "Sniper no snipping" well it's actually "swiper no swiping" but you understand I think...

4 RepliesThey should take off aim assist and make bringing up your scope slower, so that snipers are used for what snipers are made for ... Long range sniping, it's only what they have done to shotguns in reverse by taking off shot package to make them used for close range, as intended.

Except in cod it was stupid simple. In destiny you're required to shoot head most of the time.

2 RepliesI QS all the time cause I main a sniper as my secondary. Of course I'll use primary, but most of my skills are Sniper carried because it's just more rewarding and takes a lot more skill to do than to run around with a shotgun. But my favorite snipers are the ones with really low aim assist. It makes me feel like I'm sniping in Battlefield, Stillpiercer ftw!

I don't know if this is for real but it seems to be the case. As year 2 started the possibility of quick scoping is now super easy. I don't know if it is better target acquisition on snipers or what but something definitely has changed.
