Why are there so many quick scopers in Destiny?
At least in a situation like this, I understand the problem lies with the player and not the weapon. Im getting soooo sick and tired of being in Crucible matches where there's literally a sniper around every corner. Why do you need a sniper rifle to kill someone who's right around the corner?! Most of the maps in the game are too small for them to begin with. I get they're supposed to one-shot you, but when EVERYBODY uses them within auto-rifle range, sometimes even shotgun range that's when it starts to get ridiculous. It's not Call of Duty people.....
*EDIT* It's died down a little bit, mostly happening in the Iron Banner. But now people run around in Skirmish with Y1 exotics. *sighs*

I think you are trying to overestimate this haha, not a ton of people attempt to quick scope around corners. The good snipers most likely do, and they will kill you if you are unaware of your surroundings. ~[i]TheSpookyNike[/i]

Is the OP really complaining about people quick scoping headshots which takes more skill, as opposed to people who sit back the majority of a game and use the sniper as intended? Lol. Just lol.

9 RepliesLooks like you ran into what's known as aggressive snipers. They're usually people who have spent a long time on honing their up close sniping skills. It takes very fast and precise aiming to do that considering everyone else in that range is using a weapon that can instantly dump bullets on you that ruin your point of aim. Quick scoping in this game is nothing like COD. Now if you're talking about hardscopers that just sit at the back of a hallway and cherry pick everyone that runs by, yeah... those guys are scrubs. They're the ones that cause your team to lose with their 5 kills and zero deaths. K/D padders.

Edited by XMalakhX: 10/26/2015 4:52:40 PMIt's too easy to snipe in destiny. There's no gun sway, strong bullet magnetism, and extremely low zoom scopes make it easy to snipe headshots rapidly even from two feet away. They can snipe while moving way too easily. I don't really like that at all.

Are you stupid? Like legitimately: are you stupid? Snipers get hate for camping in a corner and sniping all game long. Fine maybe that's a cheap play style, I'll admit that, but you're complaining about mid-close range sniping now??? So by your logic the only way to be doing crucible right is to run around with a shotgun (or lolfusion rifle) all game long. If a snipers covering a hallway/approach, then [b]dont stick your head out there[/b]. A sniper can only watch one direction, either out snipe them, or out play them by taking a different avenue. Close range sniping isn't as easy as you're making it out to be anyway, if you're getting sniped in close quarters consistently then accept that the other player is better than you and move on.

Looks like you ran into some real snipers REAL snipers can use it close range, mainly to counter shotgunners

Sounds like a personal problem. I use shotties and fusion rifles and don't have a problem. Remember, they're only using the same weapons that are available to everybody. Find something that works for you.
