You know you're a VoG veteran if...
With the new exotic quest, many of us are discovering just how many people don't have a clue what to do in VoG. What makes you a VoG veteran?
For starters:
You would rather not cheese oracles and the Templar by wiping and sniping from the ledge.
You can solo the left side during confluxes.
You don't need help with the Minotaur when running the relic on hard mode.
Let's see what else is out there.

If you defeat the Templar without him teleporting, you will unlock a secret chest in a small hidden cave on the way to the exotic chest.

When you 3 man the entire thing up until Atheon and bring a 4th in to just open the portal.

You dust off your Fatebringer & equip Chatterwhite shader to complete that section of the quest.

3 RepliesWhen you can solo left and center Confluxes on hard. When you know how to hit the last two oracles in Venus/Mars with the Aegis (Maybe). When you can solo Mars' Gatekeeper w/o Gjallarhorn.

You know not to jump right before getting trapped in those bubbles. You also warn everyone not to fire a rocket during said bubbles. (Someone always does anyway) You can actually prevent the templar from teleporting. (Stand in the ring) Destroying all of the oracles with just the relic. You know not to throw grenades in the mars portal. You miss being able to choose spots at atheon. (I wish this came back) You got annoyed when every random team wanted to cheese she push off everything. Btw pushing off atheon by yourself with a titan. Yea they told me I couldn't. . . Can do the jumping puzzle the correct way. Know about the 2 oracles on top of the portals and what they are for. (When bad things happen) Being able to navigate the final area from memory. (Because your blind and you relic holder has no idea what button to push because he has alternate controls) btw bumper jumper ftw Being able to kill the gatekeeper before even walking through the door. Being the tour guide for every team through the gorgons Also knowing that you can kill them. Being very upset when after a year of trying to figure out what that -blam!-ing vex gate is for at the jumping puzzle. It didn't have anything to do with the raid. #vogsecretsmyass I love the vault of glass. My favorite activity in the game. I hope they make it relevant again someday. Can we get atheon as a court of oryx tier 3 boss. You know you guys want that

1 ReplyTake it one step further, if you actually held the relic. Too many people wouldn't even touch it during a raid when it's literally only like 3 buttons to learn

you pushed Templar off and got an extra chest, when u pushed atheon off and staying up late just to finish something that's 1000x easier now, or back when you had to stand in the back of the room to get teleported. bungie did a good job in replacing atheon with xylar tho

9 RepliesSolo the left conflux? That's always been super easy. A good player should be able to solo left and middle at the same time. You really only need 2 solid players for confluxes. Now soloing Atheon back in Vanilla destiny - that was fun. Didn't have a Sunsinger at that time, so I did it with my Striker titan.

17 RepliesYou can make it through the Hard Mode Gorgon's maze without all the ridiculous rock jumping. You actually know the easy route on the jump puzzle. I've found that most "veterans" only know how to jump the chasm. They don't know how to use the platforms the way it was designed to be done.

You run to the correct sync plate when you hear Mars or Venus called out during Atheon You don't hesitate to grab the relic after being ported You turn correctly coming out of the portal to jump down to mid when you start Atheon DPS
