1) Functionally they are the definition of 'Meh', apart from being used to infuse good guns up to higher levels
2) They look stupid. Guns made out of fish bones. Right.
3) They have useless perks, except if you do the raid. Therefore when you use them outside the raid = you are wasting your own and everyone elses time.
4) their stats are worse than many other weapons in the same class. Not one of the raid weapons excels in any class. Even the TOM is only useful using the Bubble / Health exploit when in the raid.
5) You wont even have a burn on the ones that drop in the hard raid
and most important of all
6) if you really need your guns / gear to be 330 to do the Nightfall or patrol the Cosmodrome, then you should be playing Minecraft not Destiny.

This aren't fish bones. They're the flesh of enemies oryx has previously killed.

1 ReplyYou have to be trolling. Of course the RAID weapons were designed specifically for the RAID. THAT'S WHY THEY ARE CALLED RAID GEAR Been like that with EVERY raid, not just this one. Same with Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris.
-
Yes because killing an enemy or two with your special, switching to your primary without reloading your special, killing a couple enemies with your primary, and switching back to your secondary with a full magazine isn't useful at all.
-
1 ReplyCocoon is very useful IMHO as swapping is faster than reload in most cases
-
4 Replies2) is 100% opinion 3) half the time you're fighting taken enemies in strikes or missions during this expansion 4) the pulse is in the same class as hopscotch and messenger were, the shotgun is a felwinter level of shotgun, the machine gun is impressive and a solid pvp option for many. 5) not many burns for elements are out in nightfall, additionally, they nerfed the modifier where it's not as impactful as you'd think anymore... All in all, your argument isn't very strong
-
I can agree with a lot of your points but thematic design like most art is pure opinion.
-
Machine gun, scout and pulse rifle are all above average weapons (especially if you get a good roll). Hand cannon I don't like, auto rifle I don't like, shotgun is mediocre, pulse rifle is mediocre. I WANT to like the sniper, but the impact is too low for it to only have 4 rounds in the magazine. Mostly I agree with you, but the three I mention first stand out as worthy raid weapons.
-
Pulse shotgun and rocket launcher work for me but not in actual raid lol
-
The VoG primaries spoiled us. VoC and FB are still my favs.
-
10 RepliesI love the ZAOULI'S BANE hand cannon. It looks awesome and the sound of it is AMAZING!!! It reloads different than other cannons...awesome.
-
Defiance of Yasmin is a beast! But yeah, I get what you're saying
-
I like the cocoon perk, but I really like how your weapon setup in TTK is about personal preference. I've been using the raid pulse, but I plan to settle on a non-raid legendary to infuse to 310 and use instead.
-
The machine gun is probably one of the best machine guns in the game right now, it's awesome
-
2 RepliesI really like the shotgun and machine gun. Love the cocoon perk which is great in all PvE situations. Don't like the hand cannon because the reload speed is terribly slow. Don't like the fusion rifle because the charge rate is too slow. Auto rifle is ok but has poor stability. Keep one equipped though because it's 310
-
The machine is really sweet! And the sniper is pretty cool as well. The Cocoon perk makes these guns really good options in pve in my opinion
-
Yeah they base stats on the weapons are crap. The perks are crap too. Cocoon is OK, but it should be on top or other perks. Like the raid scout is garbage compared to the hung jury. It's all in base stats.
-
5 RepliesI got firefly on the raid pulse rifle (whatever it's called) and it's actually pretty good with that. I'm not sure I'll hang onto it in the long run, but I'm having fun with it now.
-
3 RepliesThe raid machine gun is the best weapon from the raid . I have yet to find a better machine gun !
-
Raid weapons.... meant for the raid. Who said you have to use them anywhere else? Where else are you that you care about being as high Light level as possible anyway? As for the weapon stats themselves, yea they are a little lower tier at first by appearance, but Cocoon and bonus against Taken are what make them shine... IN THE RAID. Just keep them on hand for when you need them to raid with, and otherwise, bring out your nicer looking options like Hung Jury. Even normal mode raid don't even really need them, but come Hard mode I'm sure you're gonna want that bonus damage and not worry about reloading.
-
Cocoon is great
-
I don't have all the weapons yet, but I do enjoy the Rocket Launcher and shotgun. Just got the Hand Cannon, which outside the reload speed is fun, and the auto rifle....uh, well.....um.....damn thing is all over the place and hard to use. Sadly its the worst so far and the only 310 weapon I have. Might be fodder for another weapon eventually.
-
Qulims terminus is pretty good and I use touch of malice in pvp
-
I like the look of them and I really enjoy using the pulse rifle. I haven't had the joy of having the machine gun drop yet :(
-
They are raid weapons, which makes sense they do better in the raid.
-
Honestly? The Shotgun and Machine Gun are incredibly good actually. They have slow reload speeds, Cocoon is actually great for these. The Silence of A'arn I personally vouch for in PvE if it has an Army of One roll. Otherwise the other weapons are less than meh. Only good for infusing.

2 RepliesHow dare you hate on Minecraft!!! I hope you stub your toe on a wall, trip, and land in a pile of legos!
