Is the 80's the best era ever to be a kid
I mean seriously nothing can top the 80's in my opinion. G.I Joe, Ninja Turtles, Thunder Catz, Super Friends, Mr. T cartoon, the Goonies movie, the Wonder Years. NO FACEBOOK! I'm sorry but you 2000 kids just don't know how to live.

You know, i grew up hearing this same rap from my parents about the 60s. Every generation thinks they were alive during the best time after they are done forgetting how much they hated growing up in that time. I'm on the 2nd cycle of this nostalgia circle and realize that far from being ideal, the 80s were a time of uptight moral guardians second guessing our intelligence and limiting content because TV boogiemen were going to turn us into murderers and drug addicts. The sanitized sit coms, the very special episodes and after school specials were all made to seem hip and cool because it had Michelangelo, Duke or Doogie Hauser in them.

I remember sitting all day poised to hit record on the tape deck so you get your favorite song recorded. (For all you kids, the radio stations used to play more than the same 10 songs..)

We just changed our music at work and now New Editions "Cool it Now" plays at least 5 times a day.
