Tell us about some of the best hate mail you've gotten!
I've gotten hate mail in PvE and PvP, for reasons like "Your voice is monotone and you sound like a depressed robot" to "Just let me kill you with my hammers please." It never gets old. No such thing as bad hate mail. I've even gotten death threats! I'll share one I just got a few hours ago. WARNING: lots of paragraphs
Some sunbreaker who managed to miss three of his hammers at shotgun range (who I end up meleeing to death) messages me telling me he hopes that everyone I ever love comes to realize how much they hate me. I asked him why he's so upset, and he started accusing me of cheating. I told him to have a good day, then he dropped the best thing I've ever read from any human being ever.

I just kept sending him messages like "chin up sport :)" and dumb crap like that. Invited him to the party.
He sounded like a 20 something year old guy trying to overcompensate for something with a nasally voice. Sounded like Squilliam Tentacles, but with health issues. He kept trying to say something like "Shut up I'm reporting you," or something, but I couldn't understand him too well.
The salt was overflowing, his friends even joined the party to back him up, and soon I had 4 different people threatening to find my IP address. I couldn't stop laughing at them, they were making my day. They got upset, and told me to burn in hell after I finished laughing at them. I thanked them for all the laughs, and kicked them.

Good times. I wish I got hate mail more often, it usually only seems to come during IB or ToO. Puts me in a good mood.

Edit 3: got our first sad mail. A moment of silence for the guardian that left Destiny because he couldn't get a kill.
Edit 4: so many good ones. Good to see we can laugh it off and dust off the salt.

Back during Trials me and my team were stomping the the other team the one of them quits/was disconnected. After the game I sent a message sympathizing with losing a teammates and got a reply from a kid (who I assume to be a squeaker) claiming he lost on purpose and he has a KD of 12. It was negative.

I got some saying that I'm garbage and to stop camping during iron banner. I was actually the only person defending one of the points my team held. The could have easily over whelmed me had they not come to me one at a time

During trials of osiris a team member fropped out and it was a 2 v 3 and we were only 1 round ahead. It quickly became 1 - 4 game but we managed to make a comback and win. We were so proud of winning a game like that we tea bagged ( sort of ashamed now that i was though proud of foing so) them and after wards got a message. "You should go kill yourself by inserting a used sryinge into your arm then get hit by a bus then buried alive" (not even joking)

I joined rumble with 5 minutes to go, so of course I lost. Afterwords, a guy who had been playing the entire game and had one kill more than me told me to "Git Gud Scrub, I was using the No Land Beyond the whole time." I checked and he was using thorn lol

1 ReplyI was playing rift the first week of 2.0 with some friends just goofing off and using dumb loadouts when one of my buddies gets off a random replaces him and we start seeing his mic going off in game chat so we all go to game chat to try and get him to join us. The moment I entered game chat all I heard a 8 year old scream " ATHEONS EPILOGUE SUCKS YOU F***ING F****T." so I'm just tell him we are just goofing off so he starts yelling racial slurs and what not at one of my buddies. After the game we all leave but he keeps sending messages so we all report him and I'm guessing he got banned. The next day I walking to my car with my little brother since I pick him up and I overhear a kid complaining about how he got banned from xbox and he was gonna hack the guys who did it so I walk up to him and ask him what his gamer tag is and wouldn't you know it's the same kid after this I tell him he should add me and I tell him my gamer tag.[spoiler]he apologized and I told him it was okay played with him again and now he's pretty chill for a squeaker[/spoiler]

I got called a cheater last night.

Sniped some kid like 15 times in 2 games and got hate mail and was called a cheater all though he was light 235 and had all blues while using a fusion rifle

I got hate mail for trying the SABER strike glitch. One of the guys threatened to report for me for cheating because he wanted me to play right.

For how often I land no scope kills I'm surprised I've never gotten more PvP hate, pve tho.... I go afk for a minute to send a txt and I'll have Titans punching me and sending me msgs calling me a farming troll and stupid shit like that.

I admit I was a thorn abuser. I was using thorn in iron banner anomaly year 1 destiny. Before patch thorn was crazily op. But it still took some form of skill. On purpose my second thorn did not have burn over time. So dps was lower. I received a message of hate from one guy who called me a 'camping fanny bag' my reply was slightly more amusing. My reply 'why don't you, ride my chubby skin slide'. We had a lot of funny banter. But still the guy was crying when he was clearly using the same wepon. Quite amusing really. :)
