Tell us about some of the best hate mail you've gotten!
I've gotten hate mail in PvE and PvP, for reasons like "Your voice is monotone and you sound like a depressed robot" to "Just let me kill you with my hammers please." It never gets old. No such thing as bad hate mail. I've even gotten death threats! I'll share one I just got a few hours ago. WARNING: lots of paragraphs
Some sunbreaker who managed to miss three of his hammers at shotgun range (who I end up meleeing to death) messages me telling me he hopes that everyone I ever love comes to realize how much they hate me. I asked him why he's so upset, and he started accusing me of cheating. I told him to have a good day, then he dropped the best thing I've ever read from any human being ever.

I just kept sending him messages like "chin up sport :)" and dumb crap like that. Invited him to the party.
He sounded like a 20 something year old guy trying to overcompensate for something with a nasally voice. Sounded like Squilliam Tentacles, but with health issues. He kept trying to say something like "Shut up I'm reporting you," or something, but I couldn't understand him too well.
The salt was overflowing, his friends even joined the party to back him up, and soon I had 4 different people threatening to find my IP address. I couldn't stop laughing at them, they were making my day. They got upset, and told me to burn in hell after I finished laughing at them. I thanked them for all the laughs, and kicked them.

Good times. I wish I got hate mail more often, it usually only seems to come during IB or ToO. Puts me in a good mood.

Edit 3: got our first sad mail. A moment of silence for the guardian that left Destiny because he couldn't get a kill.
Edit 4: so many good ones. Good to see we can laugh it off and dust off the salt.

Only gotten one hate mail. I was doing the Shield Brothers Strike, and one guy left. We wiped, and I left because I didn't feel like doing the whole fight again. The guy sent me: "Gotta stay off the ground noob" I told him to "Git gud", and muted him.

Someone killed me and tea bagged me in beginning of the match. So I just sniped him for the rest of the match. Killed him 23 times. He didn't kill me once after that. I got a message after the game saying "Use something other than a sniper you stupid -blam!-. You stupid little rabit." A rabbit? And he didn't even spell it right.

I jump in a strike solo and im by myself from the start... (two original guys left) The strike is S.A.B.E.R and i start off by glitching out of the map and scanning the warsat. Another party of two jump in and start dying over and over and over and they cant seem to get to the circle of the warsat above me and stay alive. They both leave. moments later i get a msg telling me im a scrub for not reviving them and completing the warsat. his exact words? "Youre so bad, why didnt you revive us? What the fuk are you even doing out of the map, not even helping the team asshole." i didnt even bother replying lol

I got a message saying I sucked at PvP, I was pathetic and that I should just give up on life. I was using a Herja-D pulse rifle with an okay roll at the time. Dude was trying to use Thorn. After I got the message, I killed him, t-bagged then he rage quit. Poor bloke.

Had 2 guys run balls out to the end of Phogoth and instantly get killed running into the room. I camped behind the shrieker room and dispatched him in like 30 seconds. One of the d bags messages me you suck play the game right. Hey, d bag, you got your marks for the day. And what's play the game right? Run out like a twat and get killed so someone has to come get you? Good strategy asshat.

I got hatemail in PvE for not helping someone out with an impossible Public event. The person's spelling skills made me want to burn my house down.

I responded: If you asked nicely I would, but not now. I preceded to camp on top of the building in the Steppes and snipe everything as he went to kill them until I finally got bored. I guess it was a jackass move on my part, but really. . . . . It is easy enough to change the instance of the map if someone is annoying you. Jump on your sparrow and fly to the next map area then head back.

I remember this particular voice message word for word. This guy had the most stereotypical hick accent I've ever heard. I was playing GTA Online. You know how it is when you get I'm a tank? You wanna blow some people up right? Well another guy came around in a tank, blew me up an sent me this little number. "That's what you -blam!-ing get! You -blam!- with my friends you -blam!- with me! I can't believe you were sitting in a tank you are so bad! Come fight me again or you're just proving how much of a bitch you are!" I replied saying "love you too <3" which obviously made him kick off, had a feeling the slightest bit of homosexuality would cause a meltdown. Can't remember the other messages overly clearly, but it was the most intense hatemail I've received on any game other than Dark Souls.

Killed a dude once with a headshot chaperone, got 3 voice messages calling me a euro trash hacker and he was gonna get me a lifetime ban. Replied with" may want to take up a less stressful hobby, like knitting. MURICA!!!"

Back during Trials me and my team were stomping the the other team the one of them quits/was disconnected. After the game I sent a message sympathizing with losing a teammates and got a reply from a kid (who I assume to be a squeaker) claiming he lost on purpose and he has a KD of 12. It was negative.
