Oh my god! What type of friggin company is this? as long as you have the minimum speed required there shouldn't be an issue.
They need to provide a better service, better net code, dedicated servers ect.
I have never heard of a developer doing this, I'm truly disappointed and amazed with this decision.
Jesus Christ look at titanfall that was one of the best online experiences I've had.
There are so many things that can affect connections right down to corroded phone sockets or old cables inside the walls of an old house, countries which are not as advanced as the US or Europe's infrastructure, I don't think it's even been a decade when the UK started to get high speed broadband The list is huge.
Bungie and Activision marketed this product globally probably out of greed to countries who probably don't have the best of online infrastructures, they took their money and now they are going to ban them, I've spoken and played with some of these people and they love this game, how is this fair???
People that have already been banned have no idea why or for how long or even been given any information on how to correct the problem, that is extremely unfair, unorganised and unprofessional.
What's an average young person supposed to do? Even adults struggle with creating a good online environment.
You're the company with our money so sort it out your end first and give us the best possible service you can.
We all know you haven't done this.
I've played a lot of online games and this is by far the worst PVP experience I've had, and I've played with good and bad connections in the past.
Well I'm just gob smacked that this is actually going to happen.
As I've had a lot of replies saying I won't be banned, I just want to add that this post isn't about me, I know I won't be banned my service is fine, this is for people who are less fortunate than us but still love to play destiny.
This is just not fair and coming from a developer that says it cares for its community, pathetic and short sighted.
Link to a poll I hope.

eh...Yea its a bit extreme, but at the same time if you're red bar consistently....i feel like you should remove yourself in consideration of others. And if you don't care if you might be screwing with other people's experience, the game should give you a hands-on hint.
-
And I know a gang of users that use wifi and mobile hotspots to purposely manipulate the PVP gameplay experience
-
12 RepliesThey need to fix their fuçking servers i play lag free in every single game except destiny
-
Better upgrade to magic jack plus stop wi-Fi off the goodwill next door
-
1 ReplyYup. Another players redbar ruins everyone else's experience. I don't necessarily think you should be banned. But during matchmaking it should check connection status. If you have a good connection you get grouped with similar players. If you're redbar then you get grouped with redbars. Though on the other hand dedicated pvp servers would help all of this. Either way players with good connections shouldn't suffer for people with bad connections.

2 RepliesIn the latest Iron Banner match I played, the two top scorers on the enemy team were lagging like crazy. Have you ever tried to fight a lagging Stormtrance user? It's utter hell. Either intentional or unintentional, people with massive lag due to poor connection actively harm the quality of the game and it's in Bungie's best interest to keep such issues in check.
-
Well. Um. You can report people for being helpful, friendly and highly skilled.
-
1 ReplyI wonder how long will these people affected be banned?
-
1 ReplyEdited by GreyPooponya: 10/18/2015 10:15:48 PMYou are not going to be banned with 40mb unless you are actually lag switching or dumping on your connect
-
22 RepliesKeep banning them bungie, pvp is much better now without those red bar connection bum.
-
1 ReplyBungie have announced they are using dedicated servers as of next month, but as they can only afford to run 10 of them the 2560 players that can use them are asked to start putting bids on ebay asap To the other 100,000± players ... Unlucky try a bigger bid in December
-
2 RepliesBan for good i say. There are alot of people Manipulating their network in pvp. I have only report those because they run normally and kill you instantly but you can't damage them because their network shows red ''poor'' and that is Network manipulation, Those noobs needs to get permanent ban. Those that actually have like 10mb 2mb or less are not a problem, I have a 100mb connection and it sometimes shows yellow due to bad routers. But yeah network manipulation as in Cheating is what we are trying to get removed and ban those people so they can't ruin the game for others.

Iron banner was more bearable these couple of days. I wonder why?
-
6 RepliesIf I spot a team with more than 2 yellow-red bars, I report the whole team for cheating.
-
7 RepliesFor what it's worth it's only for crucible
-
1 ReplyHow long is the ban?
-
1 ReplyGood. One more person with a bad connection is down.
-
11 RepliesHey here is for you STFU!!! Fix your Internet. You ruin other guardians experience because of people like you causing the lag. And some of you people use this as a cheat as well. So bye bye. Get the -blam!- out of here. Fix your shit
-
1 ReplyJust stop playing it's what I did. If you are fed up quit. Nothing is going to change. TTK was strike 3
-
Don't play the crucible. Ever.
-
5 RepliesThey've got your money. They'll never do anything that requires them to spend more
-
Elitist scrubs cry about it
-
They need to make Crucible open only to those who have the required internet capabilities. You don't have a good connection? You can only play PvE and 6 man events. VoG, TDB, PoE, etc. You have a great connection? You can play Crucible and 6 man PvE. You have a moderate connection? You can play classic playlists and PvE. You have a terrible connection? You are limited to PvE events requiring a 3 man Fireteam only. No PvP.
-
1 ReplyIt's a good idea. People's experiences shouldn't be negatively be affected because of the poor quality of someone's connection and if they are then a ban is in order. It's not always your fault but I do hesitantly support Bungie on this.
-
U wanna play online get ur shit sorted. They should ban bad internet connection players.
-
I know people who lag on purpose and didn't get banned. I definitely didn't get banned bc I don't lag so trolls find some1 else to call salty but just saying they missed some of the worst offenders.
