Three of coins bs. Hidden update?
Every week I dump sc into 3oc to run heroic strikes for engrams, every week my rate is 1 3oc per 3 to 5 strikes I get an engram
This week Is totally different I've got no engrams in many runs
I've always poped 3oc when entering the strike
Always run strikes in 4 to 6 before I leave to orbit and tower
Anyone else having bad luck?

Then again last week before the update I went through something like 40 3oc in a day of grinding and got the friggen strikes and got five Titan alpha lupus chest pieces in a row...lower stat quality then the one my Titan was wearing. Fml. (ง︡'-';︠)ง I have also noticed purple engrams seem to drop less now.

I wouldn't doubt if they are nearly worthless now, a placebo effect if you will. It's bungies way of getting people to use up their mass stock of S.C. Coupling that with decreased S.C. drop rate and I smell something fishy. Once the majority have spent their SC saving, they will have to go back to more grinding for the exotic weopons/armor instead of just buying 30 exotic engrams and getting all the new exotics without doing anything. More grinding = Happy bungie

I was getting one exotic per every 5 at first. Then it dropped to one ever 10-12 after the patch. This past week, I went through 35 straight before I got one, my longest drought yet.

And coincidentally, last week I had few drops and this week I'm getting 310s left and right! Hooray rng!

The average should be about 8 three of coins. That brings it in line with the price of exotic shards when you could buy them before and still a bit of a discount on finding new exotics from engrams. The entire purpose of three of coins is not exactly to get you new exotics, but to get you shards for infusion. That and it makes looting bosses somewhat more exciting now that all those engrams drop from ultras including strike bosses.

I ran 4 strikes last night. I got two drops back to back. A 310 Light Beyond Nemesis, and a 310 Impossible Machines.

It's probably because some bosses in strikes are not ultras. It does not work for the flayers strike for example. I wasted probably a good 20 coins before going back to just doing winter of scourge story mission and waiting for 5 minutes before killing draksis then wiping. It's boring but it works for me. 3 exotics in 10 coins ...

53 3oC 3 drops 2x helmet (celestial and mask of third man, both 310) 1x jade rabbit, 290 I pop one after every end of strike boss while grinding vanguard playlist That is extremely unlucky

In 20 3 of coins I managed 1 engram. Last week I was getting 1 engram every 4-5. Something's definately changed.

I suspect you are correct. I have spent the past two days playing most of the time and the drop rates since the patch suck. 3 of coins is a waste of money.

I did 15 strikes without anything on Saturday, Switched to farming skywatch on sunday (taken champion and got 3 out of 6) while I was gathering materials.. Saturday was no engram day for me and another friend and he claimed to have used more than me 15-20 :/

My average rate has been around 7-9 coins per drop (mostly heroics strikes, with a daily boss mixed in). Had a lucky spree for a bit last week where it was 1 in every 3-4 but it's all rng, you win some and lose some.

Yeah same here ran strikes all weekend blowing through like 40 or so coins I think I got 2 drops. What a waste of coins.

It should be 1 in 5 on average to keep the cost of an exotic shard the same.

My average has been 1 in 10 this whole time, I'm about to start doing the three court of oryx then a strike method to improve my drop rate

1 ReplyI was at 23rd 3oC...got another Alphalupi...I had tons of it..and the best blow was ...it 290....yeeee I keep getting Chest armors form Raid ( No helmet, gauntlets, boots..etc) the First on 308, the second 306, the 3rd...302....yeeee When we already 300...all the 290 exotic will be useless...and get sharded..searching for 310. Now the Hard mode will be 320...U guess we will have to sharded our 310 again..! No point to do the 3oC...the result will be exotic shards anyway. Better save the SC up until we have a clear view when this light level stupidity stop.

I popped about 20-25 on Sunday and I got 2! Admittedly some where closish together, but I tried to leave a 5-15 min window between each one

Mine was off this week. Ran a few 36, then ran my last 2 heroic this week. On Saber, I had popped a 3oC in the boss room and when all was done, the boss dropped the strike helmet, 2 blues, and two exotics at the same time.

My drop rate has been pretty much the same this week as the last few (1 drop every 5 to 6), and I finally did the raid and get the occasional 310 out of them. Sorry duder...
